Just outside St Ives in lovely Carbis bay.

A bright, airy stylish house. 2 double bedrooms/1 twin. A secluded garden with views of the Lighthouse from the deck. Parking for 2 cars. In a peaceful residential area, a 20 min walk to St Ives. Please accept this is not a party house/street. We have to mention this since Covid19 as we have had some issues. Your booking a quiet residential area with wonderful neighbours.

We are lovers of dogs but only non chewers and no dogs on beds or furniture.

The space
Walking into a bright and airy hallway with wood floors you find a spacious twin room to your left and a very comfy double to your right. Both with new beds and lovely soft furnishing, luxurious lighting and very stylish beach house style shutters. All the bedrooms are newly carpeted.

Toward the end of the hallway you walk into a beautiful sunny lounge and dining area with wood flooring, a dining table for 6 and cosy sofa and chairs seating area. There is a TV and DVD player with a wide selection of DVDs available to you during your stay.

French doors open out onto a large decking area and lovely secluded garden. There are fabulous sun loungers on the deck and a further deck area at the bottom of the garden providing outside dining for 6 people. Here you catch a lovely glimpse of Godrevey lighthouse and beyond.

At the end of the hallway you will find bedroom 3, along with the kitchen and bathroom. The Kitchen has been refurbished with stunning navy wood cupboards and dazzling white worktops with a hint of sparkle to go with the shiny copper handles! There is an oven with hob and grill, a dishwasher, washing machine (there is a tumble dryer in the outer shed), microwave, Fridge/freezer, and all manner of utensils, crockery, cutlery, pans etc for you to cook up a storm. From here another door is leading straight onto the decking area.

Bedroom 3 is a very spacious double and overlooks the garden and boasts a wall mounted TV.

The lovely fully tiled bathroom has a very large frame less glass shower and plenty of under sink storage.

There is a lawn area to the front of the house and parking on the drive for two small cars or one large. The street is free unrestricted parking - although we do ask if you park on the road you park in front of the property hedge and not someone else's.

You can open the garage door electrically from inside. Go into the garden and down the side to the garage door. To the right is a big red button press this to open the up and over door MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PARKED FAR ENOUGH BACK FOR THE DOOR TO OPEN!!!!

The beautiful white sandy beach at Carbis Bay has been awarded Blue Flag status, meaning it has superior levels of water quality and beach cleanliness. Here there is a fabulous beach side terrace restaurant, and many types of water sports equipment for hire.

The South West coastal path runs along from Carbis Bay to St Ives, and the views from this path are truly stunning. A coastal train also runs along the cliff-side, transporting passengers between Carbis Bay and St Ives.

The village itself has a few convenience stores and a Tesco supermarket within walking distance along with several restaurants and a great local pub.

The Property is opposite the beautiful Knill Steeple. 1 minute to the end of the road and you are into the field leading to the woodland and gentle climb to the Steeple. Here you will see far reaching views up the Cornish coast in one direction and over the moors toward North Cornwall in the other. Well worth and after dinner stroll! (See photo)

Once in St Ives the beaches are also breathtakingly beautiful:
Local Beaches:

Further on from Carbis Bay is the village of Lelant where you will find miles of empty sand at Porthkidney. Steps lead onto the snow white sand and as you turn the corner at the point you will be presented with miles of empty snow white beach (even in August). Its beautiful if you want your own space, but don’t expect cafes etc, and the sea is not recommended for swimming due to undercurrents, hence it is so quiet.

In St Ives Porthmeor is the most popular for those Hip Young things!! It’s the surfing beach. It’s a stunning beach with a beautiful view of the Island and Chapel. It has a lovely casual terrace bar and café. Can be the windy side.

Porthminster is a beautiful beach for family’s and is easily accessed from the train, and bus stop, where there is also a car park. Porthminster has my favourite beach restaurant/café but you will need to book well in advance

The harbour beach is sweet and dead opposite a great local pub called the Sloop. You can hire small motor boats from here too. Here you are literally town centre.

Porthgwidden is a very sweet beach the other side of the island and also has a lovely beach side decked café.

Out of town there are of course so many beaches to visit. I would highly recommend Porthcurno though. A small white sandy cove beach with Jade green crystal clear sea. On your way stop at the Minack Theatre. Its well worth a visit and when you look down on the beach from here you can often sea the outlines of many basking sharks (totally harmless but very dramatic).

Thank you so much for your interest in booking with us. I would like to add some notes here about COVID19 and some small changes that may affect you.. I would like to tell you about our enhanced cleaning routine. Obviously cleaning is now more important than ever Cleanliness has always been top of our mind for our guests, but it’s even more critical as we all aim to reduce the spread of infection. The difference between disinfecting and cleaning: When it comes to preventing the spread of germs, it helps to understand the difference between cleaning and disinfecting. Cleaning is the act of removing germs, dirt, and impurities. Disinfecting is when you use chemicals to kill germs (like spraying with a bleach solution). By cleaning first, then disinfecting, we can lower the risk of infection, and this we will endeavour to do to our best ability. We will however need to make it an easier environment to achieve this, and will therefore be temporarily removing some items you may want to bring with you. • Hairdryer • Sadly all our lovely soft furnishings such as bed throws and cushions • Portable cribs and playpens and High chairs – these are available to you in the shed, but at your own risk. You will need to get them yourselves and clean them to your own standard and put them back in the shed. It is the only way we can offer these, and you feel safe using them. • The same goes for all beach items in the shed. • Books and dvd’s Our cleaners will need the protection of PPE and I am afraid the cleaning is likely to take twice as long to ensure extra surfaces such as light switches handles etc etc get the double clean the whole house will need. The property needs to be opened up for half an hour prior to cleaning, and St Ives is going to be a traffic free environment, which limits there time to get to the laundry company and town centre properties. Therefore, check in day will be very tight so they need to ask for check out by 9am and check in no earlier than 5pm. You are welcome to leave your car at the property to walk into town though, but I would ask you do not enter the house outside of these hours. The laundry will now need to be outsourced and we will need to wash the mattress and pillow protectors every time. The cleaners have requested that you please strip all the beds and place laundry in the zip up bags provided and include towels so there is minimal handling. (including any beds not slept in). all bedding will then stay in these bags for 72 hours. The cleaners will need PPE which is included in the new rates as is a selection of cleaning/sanitising items we will leave for you and only you. We have fitted wall mounted auto dispense soap dispensers in the bathroom and kitchen with Anti Bac soap. This I am afraid has added a significant increase in the cleaning and laundry charges from last year, but we hope this will give you some comfort that we have your safety in mind as best we can. We will endeavour to make this as safe an environment for you and your family as we can. Jayne x
