This was my first Airbnb experience. Jeanine was a super host from beginning to end. She was patient and very quick to reply to my questions when we were trying to book. She arranged a rental car for us (at a super rate I might add). She met us at the apartment and made sure we had everything we needed. She was quick to reply with any questions we had during our stay but honestly we had very little need to contact her. Her apartment has two bedrooms, a kitchen (with a small dining table), a bathroom, and an outdoor porch with another small table (ample enough for two people to eat on). It's in a nice residential neighborhood. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. Both bedrooms have a/c but we only ran the a/c at night. During the day we just opened the windows. Aruba has tremendous breeze all the time so it felt great. I am a chef, and my friend and I who stayed at Jeanine's planned to cook a lot of our meals because we both have dietary restrictions. The kitchen in the apartment was definitely sufficient for the two of us. I cooked most of our meals. There is no microwave, but we didn't miss that. As far as kitchen tools, her cookware (pots and pans) are awesome! The only things I missed having were a garlic press and a colander but it certainly wasn't enough to dampen my mood. Wi-fi worked great. No issues, and the speed was good. My friend even worked (via internet) and said it was great. I feel like I should mention the shower. The water pressure was AWESOME. I have long hair, and most places we travel the water pressure is very low, which makes for a long and laborious shower (washing and conditioning long hair). But this shower had great pressure! I'm pretty sure there is no water heater in this apartment, but that was not an issue for us. It's Aruba. It's hot. So take your shower when you get home from the beach and you'll find the water refreshing. It was never COLD water. It's just tepid. Again, not an issue for us, but I felt like I sure mention it. The beds were super comfortable. There are tv's but I can't speak to their operation as we never turned them on. I hope I've covered everything. Jeanine was a great host. I would definitely stay at her place again and in fact we plan to do that. She has several apartments by the way, so if this one isn' big enough, check out one of her other spots.

Jeanine's place was a great bargain. Located close to the high rise hotels just as advertised. While it is indeed walking distance I recommend renting a car as it does get pretty hot during the day. A car is also nice so you can explore other parts of the island besides the high rise hotels. Jeanine was a great host! She was at the apartment when I arrived. Offered to give me a ride to pick up my car rental, and was just all around a lovely person. She was quick to respond with any questions and concerns that I had. Air conditioner worked perfectly and beds were comfy. Everything you need to cook is available and there is a grocery store within walking distance. If you need basic accommodation at an unbeatable price at a location close to the beach, this is the place to be. I highly recommend Jenines place, and I would definitely stay with her again.

Jeanine and 11B are both five stars. We enjoyed our stay and the accommodations very much. Very short walk to the resorts and great location. We walked to the Marriott everyday to meet friends and it was 10 minutes at most. The cottage is lovely. Very comfortable beds and has great character. We debated renting a car but took cabs daily when going other places and very easy to use and low cost. You can walk the part behind the resorts and hit many restaurants and the plaza/cinema/mall. Jeanine is truly a top notch host. She welcomes you into her home with open arms. She is just across the street if you need anything but home feels very private and comfortable. Highly recommend.

This place is really great and the photos do not do it justice. Jeanine is the best host we have with any Airbnb stay. She is incredibly kind and very responsive. We learned a lot on this trip and want to leave some tips for anyone who comes to stay here and in Aruba in general. 1. Buy alcohol in the duty free store at the airport. It is significantly cheaper... as others have said, the drinks in Aruba are weak and have a very low alcohol concentration. The beaches and towns are open container friendly. I'm not an alcoholic by any stretch, but everyone likes to relax at the beach. 2. Grocery wise- this was a hot topic for us because it can be frustrating. Buy groceries closer to the airport. Find a local store or a touristy place. The local stores in Noord will rip you off. And by rip off, we are talking $10.00 for a bag of chips. ****The apartment does not have a microwave so be weary of this.**** 3. Beach wise- in between the Marriott and the Ritz Carlton, there is a rental hut. Beach chairs and umbrellas (the wooden palm frond ones) are $5 a chair for the day. They are in a prime location on the beach and the price cannot be beaten. 4. The walk from the unit to the beach is not bad at all. It takes about 10 minutes tops and is very safe. It will appear slightly shady for those of you who live in a sheltered community. I assure you that the worst thing you can run into will be a stray dog. 5. The unit itself is very very clean. The bed is very very very firm. I prefer a firm bed but this one was beyond firm. The pictures of the unit do not quite do it justice, it is very clean and perfect for any couple or small family / individual coming to stay on the island. The location is fantastic and very close to all the action and best beaches on the island. 6. Lastly, a cab is $27.00 from airport to apartment. We rented a car and it was about $30 a day, which was absolutely worth it and made getting back to the airport a very easy process.

Jeanine's place was absolutely perfect. It was the perfect size for just the 2 of us. It was clean a quite area. The area of town was perfect so easy to get to the beaches, shops and night life. Jeanine was an excellent host and very easy to communicate with. She welcomes you with open arms and makes you feel like family. We would definitely stay at her spot again.
