Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
We have built this Pullman style railway carriage and sighted it over looking the old Nidd Valley railway line that runs through the farm. He’s 24ft by 9ft and very luxurious. With shower, toilet, kitchen, heating... in fact everything you will need for a stay away. We have reclaimed many railway items including the four handles, luggage rack, lamps, signs and much more. He is authentic as he can be. Outside is decking with seating and hot tub over looking this beautiful landscape.

The space
The railway carriage is situated in a stunning location over looking the river and old railway line. There is a decking area (platform!) and seating. Inside the carriage is an authentic train table and chairs, kitchen with 2 ring hob, oven, fridge, kettle and toaster etc. Tea, coffee, juice, toast and jams are included.

There is No tv or cable tv in the listing.
A bathroom with shower and toilet.
A double bedroom with window.

Wood fired, fresh water hot tub in peaceful private location attached to the carriage. If you choose to use the hot tub you will need to be around to light and keep the fire stoked.

Guest access
Parking for one car is available.

Other things to note
We have a strict no dog policy due to animals currently here. We have included bedding, towels, all cutlery and crockery you could need.
HOT TUB- is a natural fresh water, wood fired Swedish hot tub. No chemicals and no flashy lights. It is very much part of the experience.. once it’s lit it needs you to be there to stoke it up every half hour.. if you let it go out we can not re light it.. This means if your using the hot tub you’re in for the night. It’s is 100% natural fresh water so used 1800 litres every guest. We are happy to fill the tub for you and set the fire up but then it’s up to you. The water on the wood fired tubs takes between 2 and 6 hours to heat depending on time of year and the fire needs stoking up and water stirring as it’s heating. It’s emptied and cleaned after every guest.
If you are planning on turning up on the first night after 5pm it may not be possible to use the tub the first night due to heating times - only the second night onwards.
In extreme cold weather conditions the hot tub may be unavailable due to lack of water on the farm. This will only happen in an extreme freeze. In summer months if we suffer a drought and there is a hosepipe ban.. this would prevent us from being able to fill the tub.
WiFi is available but needs booking ahead of time as it’s shared with our other accommodation.
Any damage caused needs to be paid for. To be fair though, the only damage ever to be caused is as a result of excessive alcohol consumption so the answers there.

Location

Glasshouses, England, United Kingdom

It's a peaceful location with beautiful walks in every direction and some lovely quirky places to eat.
Nidderdale has so much to offer and we are right in the heart of it.. 3 miles from the town of Pateley Bridge... 5 minutes drive or a beautiful walk along the river side.
Around Pateley Bridge there are cafes, bars, restaurants, pubs, a leisure centre with swimming pool, Nidderdale Lamas, Bewerley Horse Riding Centre, Brimham Rocks, How Stean Gorge, Stump Cross Caverns, Studfold Aventure Trail and so much more!
Cycling- we live in a private mile long road which is not a cycle path. As much as we don’t have an issue with our guests cycling, other business and properties on the lane do. They do have the right to stop you if you meet them on their stretch of the lane on a cycle I’m afraid and have done in past years.

We are farmers from the Yorkshire Dales.. We too are airbnb hosts and live travelling.

We live on the farm so there is usually someone about. We are around if there are any questions and to give advise.. other than that we leave you alone.
