Beautiful, bright, spacious, newly decorated ensuite bedroom in peaceful rural Somerset. Conveniently placed for exploring Bath, Bristol and Wells, Manor Farm B&B is a special place to stay for visitors keen to explore the area or simply relax and enjoy the gardens and take a dip in our indoor heated swimming pool. Breakfast features fresh homemade bread, jams and marmalade. Many great pubs and restaurants are close by and there are lots of walks and bike rides from the doorstep.

The space
The bedroom is huge, bright and spacious and newly decorated for May 2018. There is a super-king size bed fitted with luxurious White Company bedding.

There is a day bed with extra pull out mattress so the room can also accommodate 2 children (under 16's only) for a small additional charge.

The ensuite bathroom has a dual head rain shower, large bath and twin basins.

The bedroom is equipped with a small fridge. We will stock it with fresh milk but it will also be handy for keeping wine, beer and those farmers market purchases cool.

Breakfast can be taken either in the dining hall or in the garden if the weather allows. It will always feature fresh homemade bread, jams, marmalade and other treats.

The gardens are extensive and we open them on one Sunday each summer as part of the NGS Open Gardens scheme.

You will also have access to our indoor heated swimming pool and conservatory area in the lower half of the Granary building. Please let us know in advance when you would like to use the pool and we can make sure that you have exclusive access at the arranged time. We will always do our best to ensure the pool is available for your use but occasionally things happen that are beyond our control. If we have to close the pool for safety reasons we will let you know at the earliest opportunity.

Please note we also have a smaller en-suite B&B room which isn't currently listed on Airbnb. If there are a group of 4 of you then please contact us and you can book the 2 rooms together.

Guest access
You will have access to the indoor heated swimming pool and the gardens. We will let you know which are the private family areas within the house but your room is very spacious so there is plenty of space to relax.

Other things to note
We will do our best to ensure the pool is available for your use but if something happens that is beyond our control and we have to close the pool for safety reasons then we will let you know at the earliest opportunity.

Stowey is situated in the heart of the Chew Valley about one mile from Chew Valley Lake (there is a view of the lake from Manor Farm in winter). We are on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Manor Farm enjoys a peaceful, rural location but with the advantage that Bristol, Bath and Wells can all be easily accessed within 20 minutes or so.

Chew Valley Lake offers first class recreational opportunities for fishing, sailing and birdwatching. Superb rural walks and bike rides can be accessed from the doorstep and we are right on the edge of the Mendips with further opportunities to explore the beautiful Somerset countryside.

Our local pub, The Pony & Trap, has a Michelin star and a reputation as one of the best food pubs in the country. In addition we can recommend many more places to eat and drink in the area to suit all budgets and tastes

Further afield, other popular Somerset & south-west attractions can be easily accessed. To give a few examples these include: Bath, Bristol, Wells, Cheddar, Glastonbury, Bruton, Longleat, Stourhead, Tyntesfield

Wedding and party guests in the area will find Manor Farm a convenient base. The Folly Farm centre is less than a mile away, Chew Magna is two miles, The Pig Near Bath is about 10 minutes drive and Babington House about 30 minutes.

My wife Alison and I moved to Somerset from London in 2015 to find a bit more space, fresh air and easy access to walks and other outdoor activities for us and our twin boys. We love life in the countryside but still enjoy spending time in the city so are very happy that Bristol and Bath can be easily reached from our new home.

When we lived in London we enjoyed hosting English language students from all over the world and we are now looking forward to sharing our new surroundings with visitors through AirBnB.
