Situated over two floors this lovely apartment is a short distance from the estate's stable yard. As the most recently refurbished property at Walcot Hall it is quirky, light and extremely comfortable.

The space

As you enter the apartment there is a large utility area and boot room. You then walk into the open plan living room and kitchen with oak floor boards, Victorian radiator and Rayburn.

There are large comfy sofas in front of the logburner. Just off from this is the magnificent glass conservatory, it has a large dining table which can seat 8 people and from here you can relax and enjoy your own private garden.

Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and one small single. At one end of the corridor is the family bathroom as well as a shower room downstairs.

Guest access

Guests are welcome to explore the estate, the beautiful arboretum and all it's Hidden Treasures including a restored Victorian Tin Chapel, a Gypsy Caravan, Yurts and many other quirky features!

Guests are also welcome to fish on the lakes, use the rowing boats, pick from the selection of bicycles or book horse riding lessons with the stables. We hope there's something for everyone!

Interaction with guests

There are a housekeeper and a caretaker on site who can be called on at any time if needs be and a member of staff in the Walcot Hall office Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.

Other things to note

If booking for our minimum stay of 2 x nights, there is an additional charge of £80.00 to cover our cleaning costs.

If booking for 3 x nights or more, this charge doesn't apply.

Plassey is situated next to long standing residents and we ask our guests to be mindful of this fact late in the evening. Although everyone at Walcot is very friendly and happy to help!

We had a great stay in the garden flat, which is a really lovely holiday house. Would definitely recommend.

The apartment is a nice, homely place, with lots of character. The hosts have some great little touches with the books and games. The conservatory really makes this place what it is. But the surroundings are great too. It's a working farm but you can explore it's grounds and find hidden secrets, like tree swings and croquet. Overall this place is well worth staying at if you want a place in the country.
