Hi. I'm Nova. I'm from New York City originally. I moved to Portland in 2009 thinking it was temporary, but I fell in love with life here and couldn't leave! I live with my husband, our two kids, and our goofy golden doodle. I'm a real estate broker specializing in the Greater Portland area, and I manage our 5 rental apartments in Portland, and our lakefront 4BR ski chalet in Bryant Pond, also available for rent. I am a passionate all in kind of person. Whatever I'm into, I tend to be deep into it. I've sailed across the Pacific and Atlantic oceans twice each and formerly held a USCG Merchant Marine license. I love literature and have taught creative writing classes for adult writers. I take continuing studies art classes at the Maine College of Art and woodworking classes at the Open Bench Project. I'm a weekly volunteer facilitator in a bereavement group at the Center for Grieving Children. I taught myself how to rewire my entire 2100 sq foot house and actually succeeded in doing it. I love challenging myself to do things that frighten or intimidate me. I believe the most important thing in life is to keep trying new things. My loves include sailing, skiing, rock climbing, spinning, traveling, reading, and experiencing all of the urban culture that Portland has to offer - restaurants, theater, art, craft breweries, local business, the people. I am happy to share my connections in Portland with people who are considering transitioning here. Just ask me what you want to know!
