The Cedar House is an architect-designed home built in 2013 for luxury and comfort. With stunning views of the Lyme Valley, Cedar House has a quiet location on the edge of Lyme Regis. Decor and fixtures are very high-spec, ie. Poggenpohl kitchen. The location is perfect for all that Lyme Regis has to offer including Hix Oyster House, River Cottage, The Jurassic Coast, Vineyards and beautiful unspoilt beaches. Guests also have exclusive use of our vintage-inspired beach hut on the sea-front.

The space
The house was designed by the award-winning West Country architect, Annie Martin. Our brief to Annie was to create a striking, unique modern home, but with a distinctly warm and comfortable feel. As owners, the first time we stayed we were bowled over by how quiet the location is - you literally can only hear the birds singing! You also have to be careful also not to lose too many hours staring at the view - it's what sold us on this plot of land - it's simply mesmerising. The house has been designed for large families or groups to be able to function really effectively - so we have 4 bathrooms, a large well-stocked kitchen, multiple outside deck areas and great tech / WIFI.

The house is in a very quiet lane, at the top of the Lym Valley, and the views from the house and gardens are mesmerising. There is a very good pub close by, along with an excellent village shop with local fresh bread and produce. Many unspoilt beaches are within walking and / or driving distance of the house.
