A 120 year-old railway signal box,transported 12 miles from Ardgay in 1992 to save it from the fate of being burned. It boasts a wood-burning stove, electric lights, toaster, kettle, fridge and microwave plus a a gas stove in the porch; a double sofa bed and a single. Guests will have to descend the 10 steps to make use of a separate loo, shower and wash basin, all heated by a wood-burning cooker in the main house.
