The space
Swim in the brook right down the road. Drive to several close swimming holes in the nearby river. Relax after hiking on the shady porch! Four miles on a hiking trail to the Appalachian Trail. No car-ride required. Close to Pinkham Notch at the base of Mt. Washington. Ride your mountain bike on trails at Bill Hill, and at Great Glen. House is all on one floor. This is not a luxury hotel suite but is designed for those who enjoy the outdoors and mountains: the close access to hiking, fishing and river play is fabulous! Porcelain tile floors. Throw rugs. Queen-size bed in master bedroom; full-size futon bed in second bedroom. All-cotton sheets & towels. Curtains in bedrooms. Full tub with shower. Front-loader washing machine. NO DRYER. NO HAIR DRYER. Disinfectant spray and paper towels, laundry soap, shampoo, conditioner, Dr. Bronner's, and natural bar soap included. Clotheslines in both bedrooms & also outside.

NO DISHWASHER. NO MICROWAVE. NEW THIS SUMMER: Reverse Osmosis water line plumbed into kitchen sink for delicious drinking water. Gas stove with responsive temperature control settings. Large fridge with bottom-drawer freezer. Coffee, black tea, creamer, sugar included. Coffeemaker, stainless-steel cooking pots, cast iron skillet, steak knives, silverware, cooking tools & baking dishes. Please wash dishes and pots before you check out. We will put them away. Hot water is heated on demand, so please allow time for the hot water to travel through the pipes. Please compost all kitchen scraps in the container on the kitchen counter. You can dump it outside in the raised bed behind the house. You can sort your recyclables under the kitchen sink: glass, metal, plastic, cardboard and paper. Can on stove is for grease. We will dispose of it. Please tie up and leave garbage bags in kitchen. Kitchen table, oak chairs, set of dishes for 4 people. Natural dish-soap. Radio/CD player and weather radio in living room. WIFI, but can be spotty. If you're planning on a work-vacation, this may not be for you. Roku TV, board games in second bedroom. Bring your CDs! Some CDs available. Cubbies in living room for your gear. Mountain-themed artwork.

A cat lives in the house during the winter months, so if you have allergies, please reconsider staying here.

Please lock all doors and windows before you leave. Thank you!
