We had an amazing stay at Luna azul way beyond our expectations. The room was a great space, clean and the bathroom awesome with plenty of hot water. The garden is super pretty and a great space to take time out and relax. The bnb is in a great location close enough to walk to bars, restaurants, shops etc but far enough away to feel the sense of quiet and calm we wanted. Erin gave us some awesome recommendations of where to eat and the breakfast at the bnb was super tasty and varied everyday. Overall we had a crazy amazing stay- we didn't want to leave and were lucky enough to extend our stay. We hope to be back to stay again - thank you!

We stayed at Luna Azul for two nights and had an amazing time. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Solina but we were lucky enough to be looked after by Erin. I can't say enough good things about our stay, Erin was extremely helpful in informing us of things to do, showing us around San Pedro and also did some laundry of ours. We were only a short walk into town which was extremely useful for getting around, and it was easy to walk home on an evening time. The room was large, clean, with TV and had an ensuite (which always had hot water). There were complimentary toiletries which were really nice and all the little touches put in place really made the difference. The breakfast was delicious and filling and varied daily. Overall we had an amazing time at Luna Azul and would recommend anyone to stay there.

From the moment we arrived in Luna Azul everything was just exceptional, one of the best if not the best place we've stayed in central America. Erin is an amazing host, made us feel right at home from the word go and was always there with great help and advice. If anything the pictures don't do the place justice, the gardens are beautiful and the rooms are very tastefully decorated with all the extras you'd get in a highly rated hotel. Breakfast was consistently very good and varied. Don't be concerned about being outside the main strip, it's only about a 5 minute safe walk which having stayed there is I think an ideal distance from some of the noisier bars. Stay here, anyone young or older, it's top class and thanks Erin!

After a dreadful experience in a hotel in San Pedro (which caused us to leave after the first night of four booked), finding Solina's place was a massive relief. The room was nice and had everything we needed. Breakfast each morning was varied and lovely. Although we didn't meet Solina, her friend Erin was mega friendly and had loads of good tips for getting by in San Pedro. Coffee and laundry service was included. There's a wine and beer fridge... I could go on. The location was good too. It's outside the hubbub of town, but near enough that you can take a leisurely stroll into the thick of it in under ten minutes. We can't recommend this place highly enough!

Solina and Erin were an amazing hosts, very kind, caring and helpful. When we were ill for a few days they were so thoughtful and did everything they could to make sure we were comfortable. The place is absolutely beautiful, with a wonderful peaceful garden, and the breakfasts are always delicious and filling. The place is a short walk from town which is great as it is nice and quiet but still very convenient. Thank you Solina and Erin for an amazing stay!

Erin met us at the door and graciously walked us through all the details of the place, including giving us a local map with suggestions for dining, drinking, and excursions. She also cooked us a delicious breakfast daily. The area is a bit off the main strip and therefore quiet, but it's an easy walk to town and the main dock; the best of both worlds. Also, the shower is hot and the water pressure is great (not a given when traveling here). Thanks, Erin and Solina!

Easy walking from the busy central area of San Pedro. The courtyard with birds chirping hummingbirds feeding and butterflies all around was a peaceful oasis after a day of hiking or visiting other villages. The room was lovely and cleaned daily. They did our laundry and served big cooked breakfasts every day. We had plenty of water hot and drinkable. Wifi better than we found it in Mexico. Erin was a wonderful host helping us find everything we needed from replacement glasses to language schools and the best places to eat and explore. She was always available and pleasant. Hate to leave wish we could take her with us!

I love nature. Animals and rural settings. I am still mesmerized by Lake Atitlan!
Creating this space was quite challenging in a third world country as a woman with little spanish but its been a great experience. My family and friends are very important to me. I miss Alaska but cannot leave this perfect climateI My family and friends are important to me so I do not spend year round here though I love it here. I have had a myriad of jobs from waitresing to working on commercial fishing boats to having a retail business. I studied literature for many years.. Ive been in San Pedro 6 years. I love San Pedro. I rebuilt this property and have enjoyed the ease of planting and the wonderful weather and mostly the Mayan people and slower life style here.
