The space

Longueroche is 500m from the village of Moustier. The house is an old building built in 1841 by the master of the neighboring mill, rows of cork and yellow stones from Périgord characterize it. At the back is the garden, sunny and wooded, whose natural limit is the river Vimont. The room is a large room of about 30 m2, inspired by modern design, which has an independent entrance on the ground floor. The parking, adjacent to the house, is private and easy to access. The room offers 3 spaces (the living room, the bedroom and the bathroom) and has free wi-fi. Its layout makes it possible to prepare its breakfast autonomously and to taste it on the terrace, at the chosen time and therefore without constraint of schedule. It is a perfect place for a couple, with a child or not, or for 2 or 3 friends who aspire to a certain independence. The B & B is open all year round.

The place was quite close to the attractions in the Vézère valley. We admired the garden and the river. Marie and Philip were really friendly and welcoming. Recommended stay!

Marie & Philip were lovely and charming hosts and excellent advisors to get to know the most spectacular and interesting places in the sourroudings. The house is beautifully located, with a green meadow and a river just outside the door.. surely ideal for the spring and summertime, breakfasts outside and long siestas under the trees... just perfect! the room is simple but comfortable and cool furnished.

What an incredible stop over in the Dordogne. We arrived much earlier than expected, with a very tired baby, but Marie and Philippe welcomed us warmly without hesitation. They were particularly kind to my two young boys who fell in love with their garden, the frogs in their river and their motorcycle! Suggestions for outings were excellent and we had a fabulous dinner out. The room is more of a private studio and is super clean and comfortable. Breakfast was crazy good, and our morning was at our own rhythm as the two sped off in their motorcycle to my baby's delight! An absolutely beautiful spot owned by beautiful people.

We loved this place! Beautiful setting and Philip and Marie could not have been better hosts. We'd love to come back. Plus, for any archaeology geeks out there, the house is just down the road from Le Moustier! Very exciting :)

Marie and Philip welcomed us with a pleasant chat and cup of tea in the garden in front of their house. We soon knew that we would get on well. We stayed for 5 nights and explored the valleys of the Vezere and Dordogne. The location of the B&B was excellent for this purpose, and our hosts gave us lots of useful advice, e.g. some very good restaurant tips. Philip put on a memorable dinner on the second-last evening, and of course we did not run out of topics to discuss. We left the couple and their interesting property as friends, hoping to return one day.

What a wonderful vacation we have had in Le Moustier in the fantastic home of Marie, Philip and Carel Nolde. Thank you! The room is beautifully decorated, large and contains all things necessary to create a short time real home. Every morning the hosts makes available well tasting bread from the local bakery, different delicious homemade jams (own production), milk and yoghurt from local source as well as juice, coffee, tea and chocolate. We enjoyed the mornings with this perfect breakfast in the big garden by the small river. We came to Dordogne to enjoy the long impressive history of this area of France and found that Le Moustier is the very center of numerous prehistoric sites, of middle age castles and even of modern days leisure life – good food, river canoeing and strolls in the forest hunting for mushrooms. Marie and Philip are the perfect hosts, warm, open, knowledgeable and including. They provided us with detailed suggestions for sites to see and when to visit whereby we felt we got very much out of the five days we stayed. They invited us to use their fantastic garden as we wanted and made us feel as real guests in their home. Better hosts are difficult to imagine. For our 10 year old son it was a special pleasure to play with the host son, Carel. We would love to visit again and highly recommend others to experience this unforgettable place and people.
