The space

The room is about 20sq.m (215sq.ft), with a queensize (150x200 cm/60x80 inches) sofabed.
The room is in the apartment where i live.
There is a large kitchen/dining room available for cooking and eating.
The bathroom, with bathtub/shower and a washing machine at your disposal, is the only one in the flat, so it’s shared

Sheets, blankets and towels are included in room price.
There is free wi/fi broadband at your disposal.

There is a bookshelf in your room, so, if you stay for several days, I may happen to need access for a few minutes (whenever suits you best, of course). Apart from that, you will have complete privacy; the room is right next to the front door and does not pass any other rooms.

The apartment is on the 5th floor, with no elevator, in the Romolo/Porta Genova/Navigli/Bocconi area. The street is very well served by public transport: the ringroad buses (90/91) and the trams (3, 15) running directly to the center in 15 or 20 minutes are at the doorstep; the Romolo metro station on the green line is three bus stops away (or 10 minutes by foot).

The area is nice, with two supermarkets within a 5-minute walk, various pubs, restaurants, little food shops, bookstores and record stores, a public library, and the Auditorium of Milan. And of course the Navigli, Milan's famous canals.

Please don’t smoke in the house.

Please contact me and introduce yourself before booking. Since this is the home where I live, I like to know something about the people I will host.

Andrea is a really kind person, I organized my booking at the last moment and he didn't have any problem with that! The house and the room are really spacious and comfortable, definitely recommended if you want to stay close to city center!

Andrea gave us accurate and thorough travel instructions, and we were met with a very warm welcome. Andrea was there for help and advice when we asked for it, but gave us complete privacy. The apartment was very close to public transport, three stops from the Metro and we found it very easy to find our way around the city. The apartment was a perfect base to allow us to do all we planned to do. We very much enjoyed our stay with Andrea and hope to go back next year.

The place was great and had a very nice homely feel. We loved the array of nice books and vinyls that were collected in the flat. The host was very helpful with organisation and some information generally about Milan. It's location is great, an easy 10minute walk takes you to the Navigli area which is where anyone visiting Milan would want to spend the majority of their time with good food and drink. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the city.

The apartment is well situated, clean and well maintained. It is bigger than it looks on the pictures. Bakeries, supermarkets and the Navigli area are close by. From the windows of the room, you can see the top of Duomo and (in good weather) even the Alps! Andrea made me feel very welcome and was always helpful, both with practical things and more general questions about Italian society. It was a very pleasant stay and it is not surprising that many people want to stay at Andrea's apartment.

I'm not sure anything I say will be particularly new compared to what's already been said. Though I suppose beyond that I would add that from spending the week in Milan and sharing with Andrea there was always a great degree of trust which I hope was always mutual. Moreover from my arrival and most my stay iv'e always been able to contact him and seek advice on a number of things. I felt the room was brilliant and a great little haven for me as an art student anyway and personally the bed I felt was fine. I felt at home to be honest. The only real downside I feel was that I didn't know enough Italian to communicate much more effectively as I think some things can easily be lost in translation, but overall not a bad experience at all really.
