Mews is unique in that it is not in someone else's house- it is your own apartment, designed down to the last detail for absolute comfort, style and privacy.

“Newtown Mews” (3km from Sydney CBD ) sets the standard for boutique apartments and is just 2 minutes away from the Newtown train station (1 stop to Central Station). Mews is located on the 2nd floor of a small walk up complex of 20 apartments set around an internal garden atrium.

Mews is designed down to the last detail for your comfort and privacy. You can relax on the 2.5 seater sofa and enjoy the large flat screen TV. Mews features a full kitchen (with superior appliances and a full size fridge). If cooking isn’t your preference, indulge in the many cafes and restaurants footsteps away on Enmore Rd and King St. The bedroom is separated from the living area by a designer Japanese screen which easily slides across the room. AC is reverse cycle to ensure a comfortable temperature. For those light sleepers, an electronic external shutter is installed to the sliding balcony door. This shutter can be left up (out of view) or down for light & sound control.

Mews also features: bamboo flooring, washing machine/ dryer, good quality linen, iron/ ironing board, hair dryer, BIR in the bedroom. A range of teas and coffees are provided. Mews also has a Juliette balcony and a rooftop garden with outdoor table & chairs. The rooftop garden boasts stunning views of the local Newtown area and expansive views to the CBD.

We invite you to escape busy hotels and enjoy the closest apartment to the newly refurbished Newtown train station. King St buses are a 1 min walk away and there is a direct bus to Coogee Beach and UNSW. RPA and the Sydney University are a 10 minute walk.

Mews is perfect for longer stays and extended stays attract a discount. Luggage storage is available on request.

The entire complex is smoke free by Law. No parties , quiet guests only!

Mews 14 is a great place and these rules and requests ensure your comfort and safety.

Mews is home to its full-time residents so you must agree to read the check in instructions carefully and respect our neighbours privacy, the directions we provide are detailed and clear so please do not ask our neighbours for assistance. Please enter and leave quietly and do not drag suitcases on the entry tiles, Mews may not suit you if you can't lift your suitcase and use the wide, carpeted stairs. I am 59 and I manage with no trouble but elderly or frail people may not be able too.

We only accommodate quiet, non smoking guests and no parties and booked guests only on site.

The cleaner comes in after your stay but the unit must be left in a tidy condition, this means as you found it! i.e. all furniture and fittings (linen, lamps etc) back in the same spot. There is no need to strip the bed (though it is appreciated if you do)! Please do not remove make up with the towels! The dishes must be well washed, and returned to their home. Kitchen surfaces wiped down, recycling and rubbish must be put in the bins located on the lower ground floor and please remember to remove all items from the fridge when you leave. If you stay more than 5 days you have the option of a cleaning/ linen service if you elect not to use this you must do the usual cleaning as (i.e. floors, bathrooms). We are proud of "sparkling clean" and request you report any items that are damaged during your stay so we can replace them.

Please do not leave the AC on when you are out.

We will always try to be on hand to help if needed between 8am and 9pm but we do not offer hotel like Concierge services so we appreciate if guests consider what they would do if they were at there own home- there are full manuals so please check these if needed. We won't come up at 11pm to change a light globe or show you how to work the TV remote! In an emergency in Australia call 000.

Sorry if this seems onerous but if you like a sparkling clean and quiet unit you have found the right listing (hence the "rules') !

No parking on property - There is street parking nearby and metered parking out the front except between 3-7 pm weekdays when it is a clearway

This apartment suited our needs perfectly. It was ideally located for restaurants, cafes and bars as well being close to public transport into the city. The apartment was safe and secure as well as being clean and having all the facilities you will need.

Fantastic accommodation in a great central location. A perfect little home from home. Close to transport, great pubs and cafes and all that Newtown and Sydney has to offer. Great place, surrounded by fun night life and is close to transit, but wasn't too loud and had blackout curtains. We went to a show at the enmore theatre just down the road. The rooftop patio was perfect and had amazing views.
