This modern light filled unit is located in upscale and secure Rockwell community near the business district of Metro Manila. It’s right next to an upscale mall.
The space
Contemporary stylish interiors and utmost comfort define this compact but spacious one bedroom studio with a balcony and pool view in Joya Rockwell Makati. This spacious 39-sqm apartment was designed with my guest's comfort and convenience in mind. The bedroom has privacy with a glass panel door that slides into a pocket wall if one prefers an open space layout. A sofa converts to a bed for a second or third guest. Extra linens are provided in the closet. Unit has excellent sound-proof double glazed windows that bring in lots of light but insulates against noise and heat.

Cleaning fee goes to a one day professional sanitation and deep cleaning with a HEPA filter system vacuum and steamer before and after your stay. We sanitize the bed, pillows, carpets, door handles, all surfaces and freshen and filter the stale room air of odors, microbes and viruses. All beddings are professionally laundered.
Guests have free access to swimming pools on the 7th floor.
**Use is subject to building regulations that may change from time to time depending on restrictions imposed by the building admin.
** You may use the Joya building gym for a minimal fee: P600/day, or P2,500/week. Your guest pass gives you access to the exclusive Rockwell Club. The guest pass must be requested in advance and dates specified. You need to pick up the guest card in the membership desk at the main club in Amorsolo building and pay the fees. Please take note that once issued, the guest card is NON REFUNDABLE even if you decide not to use it.
This apartment is my personal space and not a hotel. You may enjoy its facilities, however please take care of it well, and respect the space.

Rockwell is an exclusive and highly secure community in Makati adjacent to the Makati Business District. Within the enclave is a mall, supermarket, movie house, high end shops, cafes and restaurants, banks, chapel set amidst lush verdant landscaping. Joya Tower has a 24-hour lobby concierge and maintenance crew on call. The building has stand-by full power generator.
Front desk concierge assistance gets you a cab in no time. I can also help you call Grab car for your city trips.

**Cleaning fee mostly goes into deep sanitation and professional laundry of linens so I expect my guests to take care of the apartment, keep it clean and take out their own trash. Cleaning supplies (broom, mop, etc) are in a utility cabinet on the balcony. Garbage chute is in a door marked "Mechanical Room" down the hall in the opposite side past the elevators. I provide housekeeping service once or twice a week and upon request (if my staff are available) for light cleaning and make up room.
Guest access
Joya in Rockwell is easily accessible due to its very central location. From the airport to Rockwell, you take the main road EDSA and make a left to Estrella St. Then another left at the second light, and a right next corner will take you to Plaza drive. Joya building has a Santis deli at the entrance.
Joya has 2 swimming pools on the 7th floor.
Gym access (including The Rockwell Club in Amorsolo building) is available for a minimal fee of P600/day or P2,500/week. Club access must be arranged in advance and may be offered to guests staying at least a month.
What's great about living in Rockwell is how everything's within the community. No need to take a cab! The mall (mall hours: 11am to 10pm) is literally a hop away, just cross the street and everything's there: the Marketplace supermarket, Starbucks, breakfast favorites Pancake House, The Refinery, Bizu and UCC cafe next block (open from 7am), banks BDO, BPI, Metrobank and HSBC, 6 cinemas, nail spas, beauty salons, top notch restaurants, boutiques, laundry shops... It's a one stop shop! The Rockwell community is also great for taking jogs and leisurely walks.
It is so centrally located that the Fort (BGC) is just 15 minutes away, Makati Central Business District is 10-15 mins away, Greenhills where the "tiangge" or flea markets are is 20-30 mins away, the airport is 20-30 mins away. Historic Manila is 30-40 minutes away.
To get a cab is easy as the lobby staff and concierge are very helpful. You also don't have to worry about malfunctions in your apartment since the building maintenance staff are on call 24/7 and Rockwell has standby generators that power the entire building (including air conditioners) in case of power blackout.
There is a gym in the building, however it is managed by Rockwell Club and you need to apply for a guest card with a corresponding fee of Php 600/day or Php 5,000/ month inclusive of gym use in the building and the exclusive facilities of the Rockwell Club in Amorsolo (including a spa) right next to Power Plant Mall. Let me know if you plan to avail so I can endorse you.
I can also provide access to Anvaya Beach Club near Subic and Baguio Country Club.
Other things to note
I leave a laminated information sheet in the room that contains info on wifi password, cable tv instructions, location of garbage chute, etc. for my guest to familiarise himself with the apartment.

Please note that due to local provider limitations, WiFi here can occasionally be slow or intermittent. It’s best for basic browsing and emails but may not support heavy downloads, HD streaming, or work-intensive tasks. For reliable high-speed internet, nearby co-working spaces are recommended. We’ll assist with tech issues during business hours but appreciate your understanding that some connectivity issues may be beyond our control. When this happens, we have an emergency pocket wifi we can provide. Thank you!
