Calm and convenient location

Guests say this area is peaceful and it’s easy to get around.
Welcome. Kiln Cottage, Blakeney, is our family home which we'd like you to enjoy. It's the perfect spot for a holiday or short stay within the beauty and tranquillity of the North Norfolk coast.
This modern cottage, built with traditional Norfolk flint, is a moment’s walk from the coastal path, village harbour, shops and eateries. It offers total peace and quiet.
I am afraid we are unable to accommodate children under 16. And we're unable to accept dogs or other pets.
Parking for two cars.

The space
The accommodation downstairs offers comfort and style in a tasteful, relaxing, light and airy environment. The porch leads into a hall with downstairs toilet and stairs to the left and a door to the right into a modern, well-equipped and open plan kitchen leading into a light and airy open plan living area. This leads further into a conservatory and protected courtyard garden. There is a large private lawn in front with parking for two cars. Kiln Cottage is one of four homes built three years ago to a high spec including underfloor heating downstairs and central heating with radiators upstairs, but we retain all the character of a modern and efficient cottage. There is wood-burning stove too.
The cottage offers two good sized double bedrooms with built-in wardrobes, bedside table and lamps. The property is in a secluded location with all the conveniences you would expect in a modern home.
The fully fitted kitchen has all appliances and storage you need including oven, hob and extractor, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave and an island unit.
It will appeal to families, couples and friends who are looking for a peaceful, rural environment where the car can be abandoned while you relax in one of the best birdwatching areas of Britain or visit the colony of 500 plus harbour and grey seals on Blakeney Point. And it is within striking distance of other beautiful coastal villages.

Guest access
The entire cottage, courtyard garden and front garden, apart from one attic bedroom which is locked and contains our personal stuff.

Other things to note
If you are a member of the National Trust don't forget to bring your membership card and parking permit. There are lovely National Trust properties and gardens nearby and as the National Trust manages the coast they charge for parking in certain areas but it is free in others. And don't forget your bus pass if you are eligible. The Coastal Hopper is another way to see North Norfolk or to hop back home after a long walk.

Neighbourhood highlights

Blakeney is an historic fishing village, one of the jewels of North Norfolk’s unspoilt coast half-way between Cromer and King’s Lynn. It is a haven for ornithologists, artists, walkers and families whose children may want to try 'crab-catching' where they tempt the crabs to come out and play on the quay. Blakeney has a bustling harbour, rowing association and sailing club. The facilities in the house mean you can self-cater or eat out at any number of excellent venues in Blakeney or nearby with stunning seaviews on your doorstep.
Blakeney Point is a three - mile spit of sand dunes and shingle with uninterrupted views of the landscape, seascape and 180 degrees of skyline. Walking the spit provides the opportunity to watch wildlife close up with its colonies of breeding Terns and England's largest colony of harbour and grey seals. The coastal path heading East or West heads through unspoilt salt marshes and hundreds of varieties of birds, many of which stop over on their migrations.
