The Gallery, a stone walled cottage in tiny Kilquiggin village overlooks the rolling hills of Counties Wicklow, Wexford and Carlow. Beside the Wicklow Way 7km south of Shillelagh. Dog friendly. Convenient to Ballybeg House, Lisnavagh House and Mount Wolseley. One large double bedroom upstairs and a sofa bed downstairs, which sleeps 1 adult or 2 children. Large bathroom. Sitting room with wood burning stove and spacious kitchen with back door to garden. Own transport essential.

The space
Stone walled cottage in estate village built in 1790 for the workers on the nearby Coolattin Estate, ancestral home of the Earls of Fitzwilliam.

Other things to note
I am a qualified Cordon Bleu chef and should you wish to have a special dinner I would be delighted to cook for you. Advance notice required.
Your firidge will be stocked with essentials, local eggs (from hens down the road), butter, milk, bread etc. but if you would like me to do a bigger food shop please forward me a list and I will be happy to buy for you for a small fee.

County Wicklow, Ireland

The cottage is within 1/2 kilometer of the Wicklow Way near Shillelagh. The Wicklow Way, world famous with hikers, stretches from Marley Park in the foothills of the Dublin mountains to Clonegal 7 km south of Shillelagh in the foothills of the Wicklow mountains. If you wish I can drive you to the start and/or finish point of your walk so that you have the ease of hiking without a rucksack.
Ideally situated to tour south Wicklow. Killkenny, Glendalough, Courtown beach, Wexford and the Barrow Way are all within an hour's drive. Dublin is an hour and a half. Within 20 minutes of the wedding venues Ballybeg House, Lisnavagh House and Mount Wolseley.

I'm obsessed with: Architecture
I've always worked in the hospitality industry, most recently running a boutique hotel in Tortola, in the Virgin Islands. When Hurrican Irma hit the island in September 2017, destroying everything in its path, that part of my life came to an abrupt end. I returned to County Wicklow where I have enjoyed catching up with old friends and going for long walks with my cocker spaniel Borris. Airbnb is a new venture which includes all that I love best about hospitality, meeting new people and making sure that they have the best holiday possible. I am a qualified cordon bleu chef and there is nothing I enjoy more than cooking for friends old and new using the fantastic local ingredients. I also love to sail but probably in warmer waters than those around Ireland!
