The accommodations were spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and filling. The host is professional and helpful. All in all, we would recommend this accommodation and host. A few caveats: 1: There were no choices offered for breakfast. Everyone got the same thing. This is pretty standard for a BBQ. 2: We are in good physical condition, so the steep stairs to the attic level didn't phase us. If you have lots of luggage, or have any mobility issues, bear the 3rd floor location in mind. 3: In the hot weather you may find the temperature a little too warm in the one bedroom suite since it's at the top of the building and hot air rises. The A/C system was set for the entire house so there is no way to adjust it for the top floor suite. It was 23.5 C, in our suite, when we were there at the end of August. There are overhead fans in every room except the bathroom. Luckily, the weather was quite cool at night so we could open the windows for cool air. 4: parking is available 5: a car is necessary to get to the theatre or other attractions 6: we were a little surprised the first morning. We didn’t hear a knock on our door to prepare us that the host was entering our suite with our breakfast. I guess we should have been wearing the provided house coats, but it was warm in there.

Response from Mihaela Anca:
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience after staying with us. We appreciate your recommendation and respect your point of view. However, we are somehow confused by some of the information provided, therefor, we want to clarify, so the prospective guests, reading your review will not be confused neither. We believe in correct, fair information, we stand for it, and we are acting and marketing our B&B based on this principle. Providing the right information will help our guests make an informed decision before reserving with us. More over, our guests will have an enjoyable experience staying with us, which ultimately is our goal. Below are the things that need clarification, from our point of view: 1.We, and most of the B&Bs we know, are not offering choices for breakfast. We don’t have a staffed kitchen, nor a restaurant on site. The host (one person) is the one preparing breakfast, sometimes for 6-8 guests in house, so breakfast choices are not possible. We cater for dietary restrictions and food allergies to the best of our abilities and serve a different breakfast each morning for the duration of guests’ stay. For the last 12 years since running the B&B, our breakfast was appreciated by most of our guests. So, guests whom are looking to have varied choices for breakfast might consider staying in a hotel rather than a B&B. 2. The Second Floor One Bedroom Suite is located at the second (not third) floor. Our house has only 2 floors (1.5 more precisely, basement not included). A set of 14 stairs leads to the entrance of the suite, so indeed, people with mobility issues might look elsewhere, or to stay in our Main Floor Two Bedroom Suite. 3.Our house has central air, with the thermostat installed in the Second Floor Suite. Over the years we learned that people are different, some like warmer temperatures, some colder ones. We cannot know ahead of time and prior of arrival their preferences. We adjust the temperature following arrival according to their requests and considering the other guests in house preferences, trying to keep a fair balance and to satisfy all our guests. This is what we have done during this reviewed visit; however, when anything warmer than 18 degrees Celsius is considered “to warm”, our job becomes difficult, if not impossible. 4. no comment 5. We are in Old Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, four short blocks to the main street of the town, where the main restaurants and shops are (10 min walk). Many of our guests are parking their car on arrival and walk everywhere in Old Town. All four theatres are within walking distance from our place. You will need about: -10 min (less than 1.0 km) to to Royal George Theatre; -13 min (1.0 km) to the Court House Theatre; -18 min (1.5 km) to the Shaw Festival and Studio Theatre. (Time and distance are provided by (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps) 6. We always arrange breakfast time with our guests and serve breakfast at that time. We always knock on the door when entering the suite. We respect our guest’s privacy but also don’t want to make a too big noise knocking on doors in respect to our other guests in house. Both our suites are quite large so depending in which of the rooms guests are, they might not have heard the knock on the door; however, breakfast time was previously arranged and respected, so no reason to consider bringing breakfast at an mutually arranged time, a surprise.

My sister and I stayed at Mihaela B&B for two nights and absolutely loved it. It was super relaxing and super fun. The house is at a short walk to downtown and is surrounded by beautiful houses and lots of trees. Mihaela is a great host and amazing cook (you won't believe her breakfast!). And the place itself is fantastic! I only have good things to say about it. Would definitely stay there again!

Our place was nicely decorated, very clean and spacious. The breakfast Anca served both days were fabulous. She was helpful without being pushy and gave us great advice. The weather was rainy and cold but she provided ideas on what to do and how to enjoy the area. Niagara on the Lake was such a nice haven after seeing the American Falls. We loved our visit and would highly recommend this place. Thanks Anca!

We had a wonderful stay with Anca! She was very helpful with ideas on things to do during our stay as well as with selecting restaurants in the area. We were in Niagara on the Lake to attend plays as part of the Shaw Festival. These were wonderful! Anca had attended several as well. Her place is about 15 minute walk to the festival theatres. She also had bikes that we used to get around to some local sights. Overall, I would highly recommend staying at Anca's place. The rooms were large, breakfast yummy and location easy to find. She is a charming host and we hope to stay with her again.
