About this listing

A very quiet apartment on the canal in the Dorsoduro district. The "Gallerie dell'Accademia of Venice" is a few minutes of walk away, and the "Saint Mark's square" is 15 minutes away.

The space

This quiet and bright ground-floor apartment (22 m²) borders the canal. The furniture is in shades of blue and white, perfectly complementing the exposed ceiling beams.

The living room (11 m² - southeast facing) has a large window that looks out onto the Romite Canal. It contains a sofa-bed, a table, and two folding chairs.

The kitchenette is off of the living room, and is fully equipped with all the modern conveniences (a microwave and a glass ceramic cooktop with two burners) and has all the cooking and eating utensils you’ll need.

The bedroom (8 m² - northeast facing) opens onto the yard shared by the rest of the building and has a double bed, a bedside table, a dresser, and a closet.

The bathroom (2.4 m²) is small and fitted with a shower, sink, and toilet.

A small hallway (1 m²) with lots of closet space runs between the various rooms in the apartment.

We loved the neighbourhood - felt very local neighbourhood but walkable to many sites and nice cafes and restaurants. Situated on a beautiful canal. The apartment is small but good value for Venice. The check in arrangements could be better - we had to pick up the keys at a location not near the apartment and there was a problem with the key holder not having the right name so a call to the host had to be made. Cleanliness of kitchen, bathroom, towels, bedding was good but the edges of the floors and lower parts of the walls could be improved.

Great location, very close to Watertaxi stops and supermarket. In an area where there are good restaurants, bars and sights. Secluded and out of the way, the apartment was clean and tidy and had everything we required for our stay. Would recommend to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay at Locappart's place. It's situated on a quite canal that is close to great tapis bars our favourite being Osteria Al Squero and Catine del Vino gia Schiavi. Also, nice and close to markets, shopping, grocery stores and about a 20 minute walk to San Marco.

An adorable little apartment on a beautiful spot next to the canal. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed and even walked to a place where we could get food when we asked. Wish we could have stayed longer !

The apartment is well equipped and beautifully located by a quiet canal. Little restaurants, bars and cafes aren't far away; the area is charming and not overrun by tourists. My reception by Locappart's agent was very friendly and informative. I would definitely recommend this place.

We had a very lovely time in Venice. The apartment is small, but has all the essentials, and we rather liked the location. There was a bit of a mix up with our host's agent which meant a slight delay getting in, but otherwise everything ran smoothly. Thanks for having us.

I've stayed at 7 Airbnb's and this was my first bad experience. I'll start with the only positive thing about our stay, our contact (who works for the property management company) was easy to communicate with, met us early, and was very helpful and kind. That's about it. After our contact left, my wife went to shower and noticed there was no soap, no shampoo and only half a roll of toilet paper. I was a bit surprised since it's professionally managed, but figured it was just an oversight. I called our contact to let her know, and she told me that it's our responsibility to provide our own. I was shocked. Toilet paper is not something we travel with and Venice is not exactly the easiest place to find a quick store to buy these supplies. On top of that, the floors felt grimy, the shower was dirty and the worse part was the bed. It was very comfortable, sagged, and had disgusting blankets that felt cheap and dirty. It was so bad and uncomfortable to sleep we actually ended up leaving a day early and went to a hotel for our last night. If all this wasn't bad enough, upon leaving and reading their instructions, we were required to dump our own trash and remove the sheets and fold them on the bed even though they charged me a $59 cleaning fee! I understand that we were not staying in a 5 star hotel and we're pretty tolerant travelers. Unfortunately this unit tarnished our stay in one of the beautiful cities in the world.
