Broad Bay Beach is a 2 minute walk or you can hike up to Larnach Castle from our place. There are many walking tracks to explore on the Otago Peninsula. Macandrew Bay and Portobello are small communities nearby for something to eat at the pub/cafes/restaurants. The Albatross and Penguin Colony are close by and there are some beautiful beaches to see. All are within easy driving distance. Alternatively you can catch the local number 18 bus which stops at the bottom of our road, to Dunedin City if you don't feel like driving. There's heaps to do including the popular Otago Museum, Toitu Otago Settlers Museum and Art Gallery, as well as cinemas, cafes and shops.
