Inverness, Scotland, United Kingdom

Situated a stones throw from the famous River ness our newly renovated apartment is close to everything in INVERNESS.

Just a 20 minute drive to Loch Ness. Torvean golf course is a five minute drive and also close to this is the leisure centre which has a family swimming pool, gymnasium, cafe etc.

A 10 minute walk from the apartment you can find the Caledonian canal built by Telford the famous Scottish engineer, There is a nice walk around the canal which takes you to Clachnaharry point all the way up to the mariner and the canal gates, fishing boats also many small boats use the canal as a short way to the moray firth down to Fort William also the North Sea.

Inverness has its own castle a must to visit for travellers it has some stunning views from the top viewing point across the town.

Rosemarkie across the bridge to the Black Isle is a popular place for travellers to watch the dolphins & seals swim close buy to the channory point, or even just a nice walk along the beach coast. Stunning views across the Cromarty firth from which you can see Fort George.

Fort George is only a 15 minute drive from Inverness heading on the A96 road a must see for all travellers. It has the highest artillery fortification within the UK. Following the 1746 defeat at Culloden of bonnie prince Charlie George the II created the ultimate defence to prevent further Jacobite unrest. Packed with history etc.

Culloden battlefield just on the outskirts of the town full of history and available tourist information. You can walk freely round the battlefield and visit the visitor centre, a very popular tourist attraction.

Inverness cathedral on the banks of the river ness has some very beautiful carvings and the stained glass windows are very attractive along with the stunning architecture. From here I would recommend the beautiful river ness walk which takes you from one side to the other if you walk through the ness islands a popular spot for salmon fishermen who you will often see casting their lines.

For further Information within Inverness and the Highlands I would recommend Trip advisor. This web site provides directions, times, prices etc. On trip advisor you will find feed back from other travellers who have visited this stunning part of Bonnie Scotland.

You can also have a nice country drive to the beautiful village of Beauly only 12 miles from the house.
This little village has everything from a ancient monastery ruin to great gift shops, Campbells Tweed House and various cafes and bistros. I would definitely recommend The Priory Hotel for lunch or a high tea, very popular with locals and visitors alike. Great food good value and service with a smile.
During the summer months the village is in full bloom with nice flowers and colours which the local community take pride in.

Please note that children’s amenities are available upon request. Should you require anything at all to make your stay with children more comfortable please let us know.
