Surrounding by conservation land, you have access to trails directly from the backyard, ideal for a morning jog. Located in a cul-de-sac, the street is very quiet. Comfortable 3+1 bedroom house it will sleep 8 people.

The space

Try to relax in the shade at the edge of the forest, in front of the back deck, you will see all kind of birds coming to visit!

There is an outdoor shower (that needs work) next to a large wooden deck. Washer, dryer, bathtub, fridge, large gas grill, kitchen supplies and dishwasher are all available for you to use. The 2-car garage has a ping pong table.

We live here year-round so the house doesn't look like a rental and is kept very neat, we clean it every week whether or not we rent it. You should feel like home!

We have a bird, a Macaw, that lives in his cage in the garage by the window. He is generally quiet but can quack once in a while to get your attention, if he sees an animal outside, or if the garage is opened for too long. He loves company but only skilled people should handle him, expect a bite if you handle him like a dog.

Guest access

Guest will have access to the whole house, the garage and the yard. But the house is our primary house, we will free up as much space as possible. There are some space not accessible to our guests: the shed, 3 closets (one in the mud room, one in the master bedroom, one in the baby's room), the 2 bathroom drawers, basement fridge.

Interaction with guests

This is our primary house, we live here year-round. But we will move out during your stay and you will not see us until your departure. We usually do self-check in, let us know if you prefer us to handle the keys in person.

Other things to note

The newly made 4th bedroom is located in the partially finished basement and doesn't have a window. Feel free to use our gas grill on the deck, but it's the responsibility of the tenant to fill up the tank if you run out of propane.

Very beautiful home in a serene setting that is close to beaches, trails and shopping. Lovely and luxurious master bath. However, there was no air condition in the floor upstairs, and it was difficult to sleep at night. Also there was a musty smell in the basement, and the member of our party who had allergies did not want to sleep there another night

Beautiful home! Excellent communication and response time. Fred and Shara where wonderful hosts. Delighted to find an extra single bed so no need for the air matters we brought. Spa bathroom is out of a dream. Would go back for sure!

First of all, the home is spacious and lovely. The main floor has an airy, sunny vibe with comfortable couches and great reading nooks. The backyard is spacious with a wonderful deck for barbecuing. We had a group of friends get together over a summer weekend with the plan to explore Cape Cod. Instead, we ended up lounging around the house and surrounding area instead because we were so impressed by the space. When we did get out of the house, the rest of the Cape was well within reach. In twenty minutes, we were at Black Beach playing cornhole and hanging out in the sun. I would highly recommend staying in Fred and Shara's home. It's a great space for a getaway.

Great space for a group! The floors are indeed fragile, you'll need to monitor shoes and suitcases closely during your stay. Beautiful house, very private location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fred and Shara's house in Cape Cod. The home is very spacious with really great amenities (gas grill, large kitchen, AC window unit, ping pong table, amazing master bathroom). The house was also very clean and private. Fred was very responsive and easy to communicate with. As the listing notes, the flooring on the first floor is made of pine and can damage easily, so guests need to be extra careful of shoes/luggage in the home.

The pictures do not do this lovely home justice. This is a truly comfortable and warm place to spend a great weekend on the cape. The open kitchen/dining/living room is perfect for larger groups and family dinners. Additionally, Shara and Fred were flexible about our group leaving a little later than planned, which was much appreciated. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to everyone. Great house, great location!!

Beautiful home. Lovely decor. Host were easily accessible and easy to work with. Location is great. Close to town with restaurants, close to ferry port to Martha's Vineyard. Large deck out back. There's a very comfortable nook in the corner of the first floor which quickly became my favorite part of the house. Would definitely recommend!
