Holiday cottage in Aberdeenshire adjacent to Bennachie range of hills and a 10 minute drive from Inverurie. Superb access into the entire Bennachie Forest with walking and biking tracks immediately across road. Fantastic views of Mither Tap. Bring your dog and enjoy the walks and hills from the cottage door. Close to a number of Aberdeenshire's wedding venues.

The space
Our crofting cottage has a kitchen, lounge, shower room, king size double bedroom and twin bedroom located on the ground floor. Upstairs there are two attic rooms each with a single bed.

The kitchen has an incredible view of Mither Tap and is equipped with fridge freezer, dishwasher, electric oven and hob, microwave and washing machine.

The cottage will sleep 6 plus an infant in the travel cot. In our opinion, the cottage is spacious for two, comfortable for 4 and cosy for 6.

Guest access
Guests will have use of the entire house and enclosed private garden.

Other things to note
The attic rooms each have a single bed and are accessed via a narrow stairway. Many people see this as quaint but it is not suitable for everyone. There is not sufficient height in the attic floor for most adults to stand. I'm ok but I'm 5'2"! However bedrooms are just for being horizontal in!!

The cottage is equipped with large shower enclosure but it does not have a bath.

The water to the cottage is pumped from a private well located in the middle of the field across the road. There will be some mineral water in the fridge for drinking if required.

With your booking you will have free access to seasoned logs for the wood burning stove. Your booking includes for up to 8 hours of central heating per day and up to 10kWh of electricity. Measure we have had to put in place due high energy costs in the UK.

Dogs are very welcome in our cottage but please let us know if you are bringing them and please keep them out of the bedrooms and off the furniture.

If you are interested in bringing a horse or pony. Please get in contact. It may be possible at certain times of year and can be arranged separately.

Neighbourhood highlights

Chapel of Garioch village is 2 miles away with an excellent tea room (Old Post Office Tea Room). Pittodrie House Hotel, Logie House and Monymusk House are all close by and very well known as superb wedding venues.

We are in the middle of the northeast250 road trip and close to castles, whisky distilleries and golf clubs too numerous to mention.

The market town of Inverurie is approximately 4 miles away. There you can find a number of supermarkets (M&S, Morrisons & Tesco Extra), a public swimming pool and many shops. We can highly recommend the butcher (Davidsons).

I'm a mum of 4 with horses, dogs, chickens and an amazing husband! Not sure I've got those in the right order!! Always busy doing stuff! Love being outside. Incredibly lucky to live where we live.
