Kali was a great host. Communication was excellent and he provided a helpful guidebook and sent out communication beforehand about how we would communicate when we arrived. Kali was easy to contact and replied with useful information if we needed anything. His place has amazing views and it is 5-15 minutes walk to the centre of everything depending on where you want to go. He also let us use whatever was in the cupboard which was stocked with essentials and more so you can cook. I would really recommend staying here! Iceland is beautiful

We went at the end on Feb for 5 days. Kalli's place is right beside the Old Harbour, stunning views, places to eat, close to sea tours, short walk (10mins) to supermarket "Bonus", car rental and main shopping street. 2-5mins to bars and restaurants. We walked everywhere, using only 2 buses during our stay (to the zoo and from the bus station). Use the public geo-pools: they are amazing. city passes are worth it for museum/art gallery people but 2 days would do you. Get out of Reykjavik, it's stunning out there, rent a car. We drove the circle in a day but you could stretch it to two if you wanted. Food and drink are expensive. Buy alcohol at the airport when you land if you plan to go out big. We made packed lunches most days and cooked at the apartment of two nights to save. Went out to restaurants in the old harbour- all delicious. Chief regrets: due to a storm we couldn't use our car/get out the city on one day so take advantage of the good weather to tour when you can. We would have stayed a night outside Reykjavik so we coukd drive and see more.

Location! Kalli's apartment is in a lovely area by the Old Harbour with plenty of restaurants and things to do nearby. It is also just a short walk to the main centre and a bus runs past the door. The supermarket, about 200m away is great, we cooked in a couple of times, but if you want beer or wine you have to get it from the liquor store 5-10 minutes or so away in town. If you book any trips, the Icelandair Hotel Marina is opposite and you can use it as a pick-up point. The Flybus also drops you there from the airport, although be warned - we were dropped off in the car park next to the hotel by Bullan restaurant and we waited there for the trip back to the airport. The official pick-up point is the other end of the hotel and it was only thanks to a very helpful bus driver that we didn't miss our bus back. Ask in the hotel reception if you are not sure. The apartment is well equipped (loved the shower!), lovely and warm with super-comfy beds. For us, the best thing about the apartment was the view! We spent a long time just looking out of the windows watching the people, the boats and the mountain. Fantastic!

Our stay in Reykjavik was wonderful and Kalli was an excellent host. The best things about our stay: + Perfect location: just a few minutes walk from the main part of Reykjavik with all of the best restaurants and sights, and it had the added bonus of being by the sea. All of our tours were familiar with the location and we were always picked up by the apartment. We didn't need to get a taxi at all. + The apartment was clean and comfortable with a great view of the sea. + Kalli was a fantastic host: great with communication, and he even went out of his way to pick us up from the bus terminal in the early hours of the morning to help us with the check in to the apartment. + Value: it's a great price for the apartment since it is so comfortable and in such a great location. I would highly recommend this apartment to everyone. It made our stay in Reykjavik even more special. 5 stars!

This apartment is in a fantastic location on the harbour and a short walk into the old town! Communication was great and we were in constant contact from when we left the airport until we met at the apartment. We hired a car which gave us so much freedom and would recommend if anyone is thinking of doing the same. We also saw the northern lights by the lighthouse which is only a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk from the apartment!! Would definitely recommend staying here!!
