Just want to chime in on the question of parking availability. After reading through some of the visitors’ comments, we were expecting parking to be difficult, but it really was not. Just read the signs posted on the street! We parked each night at the end of the block on the per…

The location of Jennifer's place could not have been more convenient for our 3-night Avett Brothers run at The Cap! We really enjoyed the location and the town! Parking each night ended up being at the Home Depot a block away, not convenient, but, on the positive side, it gave us…

I want to be as subjective as possible because I'm used to writing 5 star reviews on Airbnb and this listing is far from it. But let's start with the pros: -Easy check-in - door code simplicity, no keys. You can check in whenever. - Good location - 17 minute walk from Metro Nort…

Response from Jennifer:
I have never had to actually respond to such a frivolous review before, but since the guest chose to reach out to me only once prior to her stay, let me start with that since maybe reading is not her strong point. 1) The coffee maker works just fine. Maybe if there was an instruction manual it would have helped her figure it out since she left a filter jammed in it. Prior to checking in, she inquired as to whether coffee is provided or not, and she was advised that it is not always restocked and best to bring her own. Not sure how what you are told in advance winds up used against you in a review. 2) This apartment is not listed with a "fully stocked kitchen". It is $65 a night, good luck finding any place that has a full assortment of pots, pans and acceptable bakeware. The essentials are there such as plates and utensils, as well as a dishwasher. I will add that there are actually 4 pots and pans, all stored in the cabinet above the sink. Once again, an issue that could have been addressed if I had known that the guest could not look higher than eye level to locate what she was looking for. 3) The second bedroom is advertised as an air mattress room so not sure where the surprise was there. 25 other guests and counting have stayed in that room and never had an issue with it deflating over night. It was fully inflated upon arrival and there is a switch behind it to fill back up should the need arise, but this issue was never communicated to me to be addressed or resolved. 4) There are dozens of hangers in the closets. Not sure if opening doors and looking is as difficult as operating a coffee maker, but it is either that or the hanger goblin snuck in the middle of the night and stole them. 5) The only factual comment left so far is that there are in fact no recycling bins in the apartment. The village does not enforce recycling laws, and as such is optional. If a guest wants to recycle they are more than welcome to, and there are clear recycling bags located under the sink. Recurring theme here of absolutely no communication on the part of the guest.
