Great location

New modern studio guesthouse on 3.2 lush acres secluded at the edge of the Saguaro National Park! Cleaning fees included in nightly rate. Private indoor/outdoor living areas to take in the sunshine and desert views. 8 miles to downtown, 9 to the Desert Museum. Broadband WiFi, new queen bed, washer/dryer combo, 4k smart TV and whisper quiet mini split. Check out my other similar listing on the property. Disinfected and stocked with antibacterial supplies, a great retreat from the crowds!

The space
This is a brand new studio in a peaceful location away from the mid-town traffic and on 3.2 acres just at the edge of the Saguaro National Park. This is the quintessential Arizona experience with its lush cacti, mountain views, majestic saguaros and picturesque sunsets. Enjoy the starry desert nights in the private, enclosed courtyard. The studio is quiet and secluded enough for a writers retreat, but the university, fine dining and downtown nightlife are just a short drive away. Lush desert forest only found in this region of the world surrounds you, welcoming families of quail, colorful hummingbirds, hawks, deer and many other desert wildlife. After all, the Desert Museum is just up the road, so they built it out here for a reason!
The studio has all the modern amenities including a whisper quiet, new mini-split AC and heater, washer/dryer combo, 4k smart TV, new Tuft & Needle queen size bed, induction cooktop, outdoor grill, mini fridge and keurig machine. Leave the windows and doors open on mild days because it is designed for outdoor living as much as indoors. Breathtaking sunsets with stunning crystal clear skies at night. The view of the summer monsoon is spectacular. If you want to visit the many fine restaurants or nightlife, a beautiful windy road drops you right into downtown, modern streetcar or the university area in about 15 minutes by car. I have created a guidebook (located at the bottom of this listing) for personal highlights of the local offerings. Bicyclists pass by the hilly street all the time training for the El Tour De Tucson. Tons of hiking and mountain biking trails all around. The kitchenette features a sink, mini fridge with filtered water, microwave, toaster oven, Keurig coffee machine with K cups, induction cooktop. The rates are seasonal, but very reasonable in comparison to other listings in the area.

Where you’ll be

Tucson, Arizona, United States

The nearest neighbor is over an acre away, so besides the birds and other wildlife, its pretty quite. It is a great place to unplug and enjoy the desert surroundings and crystal clear night skies. The road in front of the property is a scenic road that leads to Gates Pass and Saguaro NP. It attracts sunset seekers and cyclists and can get busy during the holidays or in the high season. We are in the desert so there may be desert critters are around. Most are friendly, but be mindful of your step when walking around the property, especially at night. There are many places to bike nearby. I do not provide bicycles for liability reasons, but they can easily be rented by places such as Tucson Bike Tours and Rentals (this company will deliver bikes as well). Make sure your radio is tuned to our local community radio station, KXCI 91.3 FM. No commercials, expert DJ's with a spotlight on local talent and upcoming concerts. The absolute best station in Arizona!

I am a video editor/co-producer at a local news station downtown. This job keeps me well connected with the community and all of the amazing new things happening in Tucson. I am also an avid cyclist and love the winding, hilly roads in this area. I graduated from U of A in 1995 and bought this home in 2014.
