Escape to an aesthetically soothing space in this historical apartment. The residence features herringbone floors, a bookshelf wall, stark white surfaces contrasted by antique wood furnishings, touches of color, and a potted garden.

The place is located next to Széll Kálmán Square and the Mammut Plaza, offering great connections to all directions in the city and urban amenities with long hours. You can walk up to the Buda castle from across the street or take a bus from Széll Kálmán Square. The tram or the subway will take you to all spots of interest on the Pest side in less than 30 minutes. You will also be ideally located for exploring the green side of the city: Margaret Island is only two tram stops away, and Széll Kálmán is your starting point for reaching the hiking trails in the Buda hills by bus or by tram. Millenáris park, a child-friendly public park is also next door. Mammut Plaza has all the shopping, there is a big food market next door, a pedestrian area with bars and restaurants to sit back in the evenings. There is also a good value exchange and a 24 hour food store right across the street.

You will also be next door to an urban rearrangement construction site, creating a public park across the street. Luckily, the flat is inside a courtyard, isolated from the noise, but you may admire the awe-inspiring mounds and cranes from the entrance.

Personally, I am amazed at the variety that this location offers. The area itself has a turn of the century feel, but more living space than Pest. It is located at the foot of the Buda hills where the posh living areas of Buda start. This is matched by the quality and variety of food offerings: but unlike in Pest, the best of the best is concentrated in a small area. Finally, the area down to the Danube is hipster land, with laid back coffee houses and youngsters popping up on bikes at every corner.

The apartment has air-conditioning and a Philips air purifier, WiFi, TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a huge fridge, dishwasher, microwave, a Sodastream and a coffee machine, and more to put you at ease while you are in Budapest.

The property is located close to a number of great restaurants, shops, and iconic sights. The home also boasts easy access to the rest of the city on public transportation.

This is an non smoker apartment.

Lives in Budapest, Hungary
I am from Budapest, I have moved back to the city after finishing my PhD at the Georgia Institute of Technology in the US and a postdoc in Denmark. I am happy to let you be part of the new vibe I have been excited to experience in my home town. I cook a lot, I especially like international cuisine, and I also like my work: I am a sociologist who has learnt programming code, I do research about new technologies and right now I am helping a data startup grow big. I like reading philosophy and I am fond of the theater scene in Budapest. Sorry, it is all in Hungarian. But if you are into movies, you can watch an odd show a few steps away from my place in Urania, where they have English language screenings all day long.
