Light and airy living. This open plan retreat is just a short stroll (10mins) from the popular harbour and restaurants of Porthleven. Situated on a no through road with 2 parking spaces directly opposite this upside down living barn conversion offers endless splashes of craftsmanship - from bespoke/handmade sliding doors, 2 kingsize beds, a stunning kitchen & heated oak flooring. This unique gem has been wrapped in endless creativity and love to form the perfect Porthleven home.

The space
This newly converted stunning upside down living barn conversion offers 2 double bedrooms, with bespoke king size beds and unique sliding doors that disappear into the wall. A bathroom with a bath & rain drop shower, on the ground floor. On the first floor you’ll discover a stunning open plan, bright & airy kitchen/diner/lounge/balcony. There are 6 velux windows with black out blinds. A large 4 seater sofa (different from the one in the photos as we’ve added a larger addition) and a bucket chair in the lounge area. The gorgeous decked balcony is accessed via 2 separate bi-folding doors - one from the lounge the other from the kitchen. You’ll find a little table a couple of chairs and 2 sun loungers for relaxing on the balcony on sunny days. The floor is oak throughout apart from the bathroom which has a gorgeous mosaic tiled floor. It’s all heated via electric underfloor heating. The ground floor enjoys a small fenced sunny patio, which has access from both bedrooms as well as the front door. The property has a very sunny aspect and is full of so much charm and character.

Other things to note
The Nook is directly behind the lovely Origins Cafe where as well as having great coffee, food & atmosphere, they also roast their coffee onsite. So you can expect to sometimes (depending on wind direction) smell the coffee. Evenings and weekends the roasting stops. We’d also like to remind you that this is mostly a residential area so we request that you take this into consideration with noise when out on the balcony as well as only parking in the 2 designated parking spots directly opposite The Nook. We’ll happily accept one well behaved dog. If you are bringing your dog along then we kindly ask you to keep them off the beds, chairs etc… We also ask that you don’t leave your dog home alone unless they are crate trained and in their crate, of which we don’t supply.
Regarding BBQ’s, we don’t encourage them but if you were wanting to have one then please only do this on the courtyard outside of the bedrooms, not the balcony - for the obvious reason there is so much wood all around you. Also, if you are staying for 2 weeks plus we offer a weekly change of bed linen and towels for the guests to change themselves. If you would like me to arrange a full changeover that can also be pre arranged for the extra cost of £55.

Neighbourhood highlights

You are a nice 10 minute stroll from the village of Porthleven. There are some other holiday accommodations on our road, however, The Nook is sandwiched between two houses with full time residents either side. The parking boundaries are as wide as our garden fence. The other spaces are resident parking.
