The Historic Poehlman house was finished in 1898 by Conrad Poehlman. Hand crafted into the hillside directly across from Abraham Lincoln’s tomb and rolling hills of the beautiful Oakridge Cemetery.
Mr. Poehlman raised 7 boys and 3 girls in the 3 story brick home. Standing tall and modest at the very end of the street of a very quiet neighborhood. The rooms are spacious but cozy enough to make you feel right at home.

The space
This bedroom is a Large fully furnished room on the first floor right off of the Parlor with a fireplace and a ceiling fan. It has a queen bed, 2 night stands, dressers and a place to hang things up. It also has a tv with cable and Netflix, along with wireless internet. There is a half bath on the first floor, but the main bathroom with large walk in shower is on the second floor.
Minutes from downtown, hospitals, shopping and tourist attractions.
After a long day of exploring the town, relax and have a soak in the hot tub off the large back deck, or just sit by the fire and listen to some music.

Be sure to check out the second floor room if your dates aren’t available for this room.

Although I live in the city, there is a country feel here with the rolling hills of the cemetery and the quiet neighborhood. Lots of nature here too. I have a large 3/4 acre fully fenced in yard, so dogs are also welcome.

I’m an Electrician by trade and love to work on the house. There is always a project. When not working on a project, I enjoy the outdoors which includes working in my day lily garden, walking Booth at a nearby park, or just sitting on my back patio listening to some music and possibly soaking in the hot tub. Love to travel when I can and to host and meet people from all over.

During your stay

I work 7:30-4:00 Monday-Friday and usually home right after. I’m always doing something around the house, so I will be around or in and out. I love hosting guests and socializing. My dog Booth is a big love bug. He will love on you the minute he meets you.
