Very close to the trendy area La Latina, 5 minutes walking from Casa de Campo (if you are a runner, you will love to do it here). 10 minutes away from La Puerta del Sol. Restaurants, Bars and a lot of Supermarkets around with a Local Fresh Market.

The space

This space is bright and very peaceful. The main room owns a big bed of 160 x 200 cm. The other room has a bed of 140 x 200 cm. The kitchen is very spacious and has everything you will need to cook (we do not provide food, only accessories and cutlery). The terrace is a nice place if you want to have a cigarrette in there (no smoking indoors, please!). The bath is big and nice. It is a very comfy apartment for 4 people (ideal for 2 couples) or for a family.

You can use the washing machine, the vacuum and everything that is in the house. PLEASE, we love our books and our music pieces of art (vinyls, antique stuff, cd´s), so use them with LOVE and a lot of care and put them back as soon as you finish using them. You can use the closet in the Main Room, but please, the stuff that it is in the top is reserved for us when we are there.

It is a very quiet area with a lot of charm with a lot of supermarkets in the area: Carrefour, El Día and just outside the building there is a MaxCoop. Just in front of the house, there is a small playground and 2 minutes walking from it a bigger one. We will recommend you a restaurant that is in the backyard block called Restaurante-Bar Javier, for only 8 euros you will have a 3 course menu (Juan Pascal de Mena Street). A drugstore is a one minute walking. In Paseo de Extremadura, there are a lot of bars where you can have your breakfast in the morning, we love Medina Bar (fresh orange juice, nice coffee and a deli toast for 2 euros!).

If you want to go to La Latina, go to Paseo de Extremadura and take the 31 or 65 bus.
Coming from the Airport with not much luggage? Take the tube! It is the cheapest way to get to our place and actually, it is not difficult at all.
Our closest tube station is: Alto de Extremadura.

This property is located in a working class suburb so it looks a little untidy and not so clean but it seems safe. We had trouble finding the apartment and we had to call the host on an international number which was not so convenient. The apartment is on the 4th floor with no elevators so for a family with small children or with large bags, it is not so convenient. Like someone mentioned earlier, we found the apartment not cleaned so well and a bad smell coming from the bathroom. I have mentioned this to the host. Hopefully it will get fixed. This apartment is suited for young solo travellers and not so suited for families.

Good location to get in touch with the neighborhood. Definitely check out Bar Jema on the street Huerta Castañeda. Nice and spacious place with everything provided. Unfortunately we had to wait in the door for somebody to leave the building to get in. The host told us on the phone that there was no different way to get in. Hmm.. but all in all a solid place to stay ;)

It's very good deal for this price. Convenient location, 5 min walk from subway station. We enjoyed our stay, even tho we had some troubles at the arrival. When we arrived we couldn't get in, the neighbor was supposed to open the door for us, but he wasn't home (probably because we arrived at 9pm). Then old woman started shouting on us, that it's a wrong address and she doesn't know any Agustin. When we tried to contact the owner it turned out that the number he gave us doesn't exist and it's not even Spanish number, it consists too many numbers. After all we managed to get in, and we found very stinky trash bag in front of the door! We had to throw it away by ourselves. I wouldn't say that apartment is clean. There is no soup in the bathroom, towels and bedsheets drying in the bathroom. So we were confused can we use it or not. But for 2 days it's okay. It's quite big and comfortable.

Agustin was very welcoming and give us really clear instructions to getting the key, the apartment was really close to the metro station. We loved the radio as it provided music to the apartment and a spot of Spanish radio. There isn't an elevator in the apartment block so it might not be the best place to stay if you are travelling with elderly as there are a lot of stairs, wasn't a problem for us though.

This is a large apartment only a few hundred metres from a Metro station and close to the main street with many shops cafes and bars. It would seem on the occasion of our visit the apartment hadnt been cleaned properly, and the host wasnt contactable. Sounds like a one-off, since previous reviews have been favourable.
