Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
A unique and secluded beach hideaway in the woods, a few meters from Priory Bay beach, it is "a little piece of paradise" in a uniquely romantic location.

Along with its sister yurt, The Hideaway, both give a desert island experience, only 2.5 hours from London and 15 minutes from Portsmouth by RIB.

We now have a stunning event yurt for milestone events & weddings. If interested, please contact us.

The space
Beautifully constructed by Island Yurts, on inspiration of the Mongolian yurt, this idyllic abode will provide an unforgettable stay.

The yurt has a bespoke wooden king size bed, side tables, a beach wardrobe, a lounge area, dining area and an en-suite bathroom with all the essentials ... a roll-top Victorian bath, a flushing toilet, basin, heated towel rail and views to the stars. There is also a private outdoor hot water shower with an uninterrupted view of the beach.

The handcrafted kitchen with oak work-top and cupboards is made from recycled pallets. It has a Belfast sink, fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and a twin induction hob.

Moving through the wide glass doors to your private terrace, you will find a gas barbecue, a seating area, recliners and an outdoor hot water shower. From the terrace, in between the majestic native woodlands, there is an uninterrupted view over the idyllic sandy beach. If you can find a shower with a better view we will fill the champagne bucket!

This yurt is really designed for two, but there is adequate room for two little ones.

The main feature is the sheltered gently shelving sandy beach. It is completely protected from the prevailing winds and the morning sun warms the sea on a rising tide. On a spring tide you can take a morning walk all the way to St Helens Fort, getting wet only up to your knees.

If you're lucky enough to come in spring, the woods are carpeted with wild garlic, bluebells, daffodils, primroses and wild violets. We have an abundant bird life and delightful red squirrels.

Please note there are steps up to the yurt. The parking is off to the left of the boat at the roundabout, and into the space marked 'Parking'. A little beach path through the trees and down to your yurt.

Please note for your convenience the following items are provided cutlery, crockery, glasses, mugs, pots, pans, bowls, salt & pepper, induction cooker, toaster, kettle, Dolce Gusto coffee machine.

Guest access
Access is through the old Priory Hotel's back gates (via Caws Avenue in Nettlestone, to Priory Drive and then up the narrow Priory Road) and down a country track (all well marked). There is parking for one car close to the yurt, marked with Caribbean Corner wooden signposts.

There is also a private path down to the beach, just 30 metres from the yurt.

Other things to note
The property is adjacent to the historic Priory Bay Hotel, which is currently closed, awaiting refurbishment.

There are many other hostelries and restaurants in the local towns of St Helens, Seaview and Bembridge. Your welcome book in the yurt is also full of information.
