Amazing views from all around the Round Room in the sky. Especially over Kensal Green cemetery. It was all wooden inside and cosy as anything on a drizzly January evening. Go for sunset if you can, and check out the roof panorama. But bring your own cutlery.
A wonderful getaway within London, the unique accommodation and views are excellent. As per reviews below, a few little extra touches could make the rooms work better, but undoubtedly worth the stay.
A pretty unique place to stay, and just over the road from the legendary Dock Kitchen. I'd stay again.
Woow what a amazing place to stay and Tom & Florence are the best hosts you can wish. From the first day on everything went perfectly. The room and everything was very clean and the interior desgin is super stylish. The Bed is very comfortable and you sleep like on heaven. We had a breakfast on the rooftop where you have a amazing view over the city. Will never forget this special place in London and will definitly come back to the amazing water tower when i visit London again.
An unique, well presented apartment with amazing 360degree views of London. Highly recommended
The tower is great, unusual with great design features in each room. The roof terrace has a lovely view of London. We popped across the road to the dock kitchen for dinner as it was my girlfriends birthday. As other reviewers mentioned a few extra touches would make it great and communication could have been quicker.
This truly is an amazing round room in the sky. Expectations were high for the end of a great day and this place was perfect! Such a cool place, impressively different and the rooftop views of London blew my girlfriend and me away! Great as a retreat from the bustle if that's what you're after too.
Tom was a brilliant host with any communication done via email and txt if needed. I would and will be recommending this superbly fun water tower. Very cool!
Thank you Tom & Florence.
For someone who has been in and out of London for nearly 30 years this round room on the top end of Ladbroke Grove confirms the growing feeling that London never stops surprising people. For a slow-traveler who enjoys non-touristic neighborhood and reliable public transport this is a wonderland.
Florence's place certainly stands out. It's one of the most unusual places I've stayed in and comes with a fantastic view of London - looking east and south you'll see the city highlights as well as the tower of Battersea power station and other landmarks.
I agree with some of the other reviews that with a bit of extra thought this place could be even better - even though Florence gave me a choice of flats - so some tea/coffee making gear and cups would be good. The fridge seemed kind of unnecessary. Only one body towel was left (some might want a face towel) and no shower mat. The shower overflows so don't stick it on full blast (you don't need to - it's a massive head). Shame about the shower curtain - it hangs too far inside the shower shortening the space, so what looks very luxurious is cramped. Add no shelf in the shower to put toiletries and it doesn't feel so high end when you're clambering about retrieving your shampoo from the floor. There was an electric cable hanging down from the mirror and the blind in the bathroom didn't work. A bedside light with a switch would be good too - so you don't have to get up and unplug it.
However, very comfortable bed and heaps of space. All in all a really interesting place that with a bit of attention on a few snags would be excellent.
The perfect surprise stay for my boyfriend. The rooms are a good size and very clean. The view from the roof terrace is something else! Florence was a great host and communicated promptly at all times. The water tower is right next to a Sainsbury's and walking distance to the tube and Portobello Road area.
I feel lucky that we were able to experience something so unique in the heart of london!
