This was a perfect place to stay. Our hostess was absolutely lovely. Everything was clean and there was great attention to detail. A beautiful bucolic setting in the beautiful Kansas Flint Hills. 10 minutes from Manhattan city proper. I definitely will stay there again. I wish I was there right now.

This was our first experience with AirBNB and it was fantastic! Mary greeted us and took the time to show us around. The accommodations were neat and clean, the bed was comfortable and the restroom/shower was spacious. The nights were extremely quite and the morning light brought the wonderful sounds of country living. We look forward to booking with Mary again the next time we are in her neck of the woods.

We stayed two nights at the Abner Allen Guest House. This is a charming old house in a bucolic setting very near Manhattan, Kansas. Mary was a perfect host. I found it very easy to reach her by text and she met us just as we arrived. The house has a great sitting area, snacks and coffee were provided, and the spacious bathroom is beautifully updated in a charming style with a large shower. The one bedroom and pull out couch in the sitting area were perfect to accommodate my wife, daughter and myself. The large smart TV and wireless internet were an unexpected plus. We are looking forward to our next stay!

Our hostess greeted us as our car pulled in up to her beautiful guest house. The description listed was as we found the house which was in the quiet flint hills just a few miles off the interstate.

Mary has a gracious host making travelers feel like long expected family. She provided detailed directions to her rural location and literally lit the front walkway with candles for a late night return to this lovely stone farmhouse. They don't build them like this anymore. This is on our "must return" list.

The first half of my life was spent growing up and living in Chicago. The second half has been right here in the heartland of Kansas, farming with my husband. My favorite vacation was when my husband and I celebrated our 25th Anniversary and traveled to Italy. I love flowers, spicy foods, sipping red wine on the porch swing, and a good pair of comfortable shoes. Hope to get a chance to share our home and farm life with you soon!
