Enjoy a camp setting just a block-long stroll to Heceta Beach in this vintage 1964 Airstream Land Yacht. Cheerfully renovated with a pull out sofa bed for two (we can set it up with a cushy memory foam topper for comfort) in the front and two twins mid cabin. Microwave, fridge and coffee maker, work desk. There is second Airstream at camp too, if you are traveling with others. Each with separate outdoor sitting areas. The space
Exploding Whale Beach Camp is great for adventurous couples, singles and small families. There are two Airstreams here so you may have neighbors but seems guests enjoy meeting each other and sharing stories if crossing paths. We’re at the end of a two block-long street amidst shore-pines in a quiet beachy residential area and it can get real dark at night! You can hear the surf, enjoy campfires and stroll through hobbit trails to the dunes and wide stretch of Heceta Beach. Enjoy beachcombing for driftwood, agates and shells. It’s also a great beach for exploring on our fat-tire beach bikes (we have two!) and kite surfing. Camp is walking distance to ocean front dining at Driftwood Shores and to Jerry’s Place, our local bar and grill. Florence's charming Old Town is ten minutes away, as well as numerous lakes, miles and miles of hiking trails and enjoyable sights such as the Heceta Head Lighthouse, the Sea Lion Caves, Thors Well and Cape Perpetua. Quiet area. Safe. We live next to the camp lot and are the only full time residents on the two block long street. We usually end up greeting guests, but sometimes we miss them and rarely even know they're around. We won't bug you but are available for any needs, via text, Airbnb messaging, through our FB page or with a knock on our front door!

Airstream is equipped with a microwave, coffee maker, eating utensils and some plate ware, mugs, and paper towels.
