I hold a Ph.D. in Information Science and Technology from the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University and an M.B.A. in Innovation Management and Marketing from the Whitman School of Management, also at Syracuse University. My bachelor's degree is in Psychology and Interdisciplinary Linguistics. While a graduate student, I was awarded a prestigious GANN (Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need) national fellowship . I was also a member of the project team that worked to found the top-rated Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises Program at the Whitman School at Syracuse University.
I have served as a faculty member at two academic institutions, and founded my own consulting company, which offers consulting services in Innovation Management, Leadership and Teamwork, Entrepreneurship, and Organizational Development and Change. My research has been presented at numerous professional conferences, including the annual meetings of the Academy of Management, International Conference on Information Systems, Hawaii International Conference on Business, Hawaii International Conference on Systems Sciences, International Association for the Management of Technology, Product Development Management Association, and Society for Interdisciplinary Business Research. Many of these papers have been published in professional journals and in conference proceedings, as well as in edited volumes. My professional affiliations include the International Coach Federation (ICF), Academy of Management (AoM), Interdisciplinary Network for Group Research (INGroup), International Leadership Association (ILA), National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), Product Development Management Association (PDMA), Project Management Institute (PMI), and the Network of Leadership Scholars.
My decision to pursue coaching as a professional career emerged from my desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. While academia has its own rewards, I was drawn to professional coaching and decided to start a coaching practice because it allows me to work with clients in partnership to help them to be the best that they can be, whether that's personally or professionally (aka doing what I absolutely love).
