Other things to note
The Loveshack is one of the few original shacks remaining at Balnarring beach. Having been re-located from Lord Somers Camp after the Second world war in 1948.
Since then it has remained in the same family and has acted as a local movie house and rumpus room for the children in the local area during the 50's & 60's.
The Shack has also had a very long association with the Carlton football club and was the location for pre-season training during the Barassi era.

Location

Balnarring Beach, Victoria, Australia

Balnarring Beach is one place on the Peninsula that still has that laidback beachside village feel.
Our shack is located in a quiet area (with the exception of New Years Eve!) with the opportunity to walk for hours along the beach in the direction of either Somers or Flinders.
A short 3 km drive or walk is the local Balnarring Village where there is access to some really great restaurants, cafes, bakeries, pharmacy, deli and supermarket.
Ideally situated to explore all that the Peninsula has to offer including: Wineries, restaurants, golf courses, nature walks, local artisans from cheesemakers to glassblowers, farmgate visits, horse riding, shopping, swimming, surfing and kayaking. There are also a huge variety of villages to visit from Flinders to Portsea.

We love where we live! Airbnb offers a great opportunity for us to share with you our little corner of the world. My partner John and I have lived on the Peninsula for many years. We love to travel, socialise and enjoy nature at its best. I particularly have an ongoing interest in painting and, a new passion for pottery and ceramics. We consider ourselves open minded, heartful souls and would welcome any like minded people to visit our funky little shack anytime!
