Description

The space

Relax in our newly renovated 150 sq. m (1600 sq. ft) flat where the charm of 200 year old beams and exposed brickwork is combined with modern bathrooms, a new kitchen, lots of space and blazing 50MBit internet access.

The flat has 3.5 bedrooms for 6-7 people, each with a large closet. A new Nolte kitchen features an induction stove, dishwasher and Senseo coffee machine. If it’s cold outside, warm up with a cozy fire in the wood stove.

The half-acre (2000 sq. m) garden, with its lovely old fruit trees, Sauna and fire pit invites you to kick back and unwind, barbecue, enjoy life.

In case you cannot play all the time, the super-fast wifi is even available in the garden. Sitting by the fire with your laptop is a completely new definition of “work”.

Best suited for:

- family with kids
- management retreat etc.

The location is perfect for excursions e.g.:

- Take the kids to the Skyline Amusement park (2 min) or Legoland (40 min)
- Pamper yourself at the thermal baths of Bad Wörishofen where Sebastian Kneipp perfected his hydrotherapy method (5 mins)
- Visit Munich for shopping and sightseeing (45 min)
- Hike in the Allgäu (Breitachklamm)
- Tour the Bavarian castles of Neuschwanstein / Hohenschwangau (1 h) or Linderhof (1:15h)
- See the oldest stained glass windows (Augsburg - 40 mins) or climb the highest church tower (Ulm - 60 mins)
… and much more

or simply relax in the typical bavarian beer garden just across the street, no car required …

Rammingen is a village with a number of working farms. The upside is that you get to see real German farming and the downside is … you get to see real German farming. This means there may be some noise as farm equipment (tractors and such) go by on the street, and your nose will on occasion let you know that horses do indeed live nearby.

Guest access

We have a nice sauna and a fire pit in the garden. Feel free to use them all.

A couple more details:

- If you want to use the fire pit for barbecue, go right ahead. Wood is included.

- You can use the sauna any time, free of charge. If you want to have it all to yourselves, just let us know.

The neighbourhood

Getting around

The Rammingen (Bay) train station is just 500m (500+ yards) down the street, with a train each hour, but we strongly recommend that you have a car. Getting around the countryside using only public transportation can be quite a challenge, especially if you are planning some excursions.

Other things to note

Please be aware that Rammingen is a very small village outside of Munich. There is not much going on here besides some farming activity and a couple of really nice beergardens. Don't expect to much - you'll need a car. There are plenty of nice sights around but the village itself is... well... a village ;)

We've spent one week in March-17 in this house. First of all, I should say that Lars and his family are very precise in description of the house. Everything was exactly as they described. Secondly Lars is very open in communication about any issue. Thirdly, interior, equiment and furniture are far above expectations. Beautiful location, close to Therme, Castles, Munich and Amsee lake. But only by car. House is big and very good for families (4 bedrooms for 7 people, 2 bathrooms). A lot of stuff on the kitchen and in the bathroom. With big pleasure we would come here one more time.

Highly recommended! Excellent location with gracious and friendly hosts. Location is close to many day excursions and a wonderful beergarten a few houses away. You will not regret a decision to stay here.

Lars' parents showed us around the house and provided all necessary details. The house is huge and tastefully decorated. Everything you could possibly need as a guest was provided in the house. Good place to stay if you're thinking of going to Legoland. I would certainly recommend Lar's place.

This by far is one of the nicest places we have stayed. The place was immaculate and beautifully decorated. Loved all the plants throughout the house. Everything you could possibly need was in the house as well. You can tell they put a great deal of time and attention in to creating this wonderful space to share. Rammingen is a small town but there is a bakery and butcher as well as 2 restaurants. I highly recommend staying here. My only regret is not having more time to spend here.

We have just returned from a two week stay in Rammingen. Firstly, location was perfect for us- a family of six spanning three generation ( 6 to 70 years old). There was something for everyone - legoland being a 45 minute drive away, skyline theme park just down the road, the beautiful town of Bad Worishofen just five minutes away with lovely walks, coffee shop, restaurants, supermarkets, baths etc. the train station is only 10 mins walk from the house. Also within 10mins walk of the house is a Kniepp bath which is very invigorating. The house is self lacks nothing and was just fabulously kitted out. Wifi access is super. You want for nothing in this house. The sauna is great. Everything is so spotlessly clean. For the kids the garden is a big open space which allows for great fun with a ball. Our hosts live below and are there to help with their local knowledge and recommendations. They were wonderful to deal with. We had a fantastic time and hope some day to return.
