The place is a old style Scottish house, we met the owner, very kind person, and she show us the location, is a part of her house, with the bed room, very nice, under the roof, you can reach with few step, the bath is no separated, we use like the bathroom of the house, for me was perfect for a night, we had an unforgettable breakfast, international not Scottish, coffee machine, very good. We sleep well on futon bed, with the feeling of the rain drop all night , the owner is nice - she is a musician, and I understand about the books over the shelf an intellectual. Well , for the place I say is good for one night , the place is clean no problem of ambientation, she offer me a whisky, Irish no scot, she come from ireland, for dinner we go to seamill hydro restaurant, just in front the corner, is a sort a thermatic place with a good restaurant, we eat a good fish, and quite cheap. The accommodation was even better than it looks online, so cosy and quirky. You can tell how much Armorel loves her home and it's an extension of her beautiful personality. Kindness in every corner. The location is ideal for keen walkers like myself and a brilliant bath tub to soak the sore muscles in afterwards! Armorel was the most wonderful host : so helpful and knowledgeable, I felt the perfect balance of her being there with/for me just the right amount whilst being free to do my own thing. Can't say enough good things about this place, only wish I had been able to stay longer! Within a few hours of arriving, I was already planning my next trip back - see you soon and thankyou again for everything! x

Armorel is a lovely host and we felt comfortable and relaxed during our short stay. Nice quiet setting and the beach and nearby glen were good places to take our dog for a walk. Thanks Armorel!

For me, Armorel was the perfect host. Friendly and welcoming, but also giving plenty of privacy and space. The breakfast provided was delicious, especially the home made bread. You need a certain amount of agility to access the loft bedroom, but that's made clear in the description, and sleeping in your own private tower nest was a delight. Additional space is made available for bags, coats etc. This is a unique and excellent value place to stay.

A wonderful unconventional interior that has tons to marvel at. Amorel was a great host and very welcoming. Tour guides and other information was provided in a handy booklet upon checking in. The guest room was cozy and provided a comfortable secluded personal area. Breakfast was provided each morning at an agreeable time. The house was also a 5 minute walk to the beach which has fantastic views and I would highly recommend seeing during sunset. 10/10 would highly recommend

Staying with Armorel was wonderful! I felt lucky to be welcomed into her lovely home and she was the ultimate hostess - I came away feeling that I had made a lovely friend as well as had a lovely stay - this is surely what Airbnb is all about. My only negative was that I was only staying one night! I will definitely stay with Armorel again in future, thankyou :)

Keen amateur musician - play cello in a Fiddle Band, an orchestra and a village band. I like walking, reading, cycling, swimming, people. Retired from NHS about 5 years ago, and making the most of my time doing things I love.

I enjoy visiting other countries and meeting new people. Air B and B appeals to me for this reason.

As well as living in this tranquil spot, which is soothing to the spirit, I also love Glasgow, for its buzz and people, so I spend quite a lot of time there. There is always something interesting going on and it is so easy to get to by train or car.

People tell me this is a welcoming space, and I hope that my guests will feel relaxed and comfortable staying here.

I have just completed El Camino de Santiago (October 2016) - a 500 mile pilgrimage across the north of Spain, carrying my backpack - and will offer special rates to fellow peregrinos on application, if they are prepared to bring with them their pilgrim's passport!
