Thanks Pat and Nat for a wonderful stay in Ile de re. The boat room was comfortable with everything you need as well as great recommendations for bike rental and resturants. Highly Recommended!

We received a warm and friendly welcome. Information and advice readily available to help us plan our short stay. Our accommodation was as described. We enjoyed the space to ourselves but would of felt awkward sharing as access to our bathroom was not private. ideal for two couples on holiday together or a family. Pleasant outside space. In easy access of local town, beach and cycle routes.

Fabulous! We are a couple and the room was perfectly sufficient for a nice 6 day trip to Île de Ré. Not luxurious, but really perfect. The only thing close to complaint is that the mattress could have been more comfortable - still it wasn't bad. I had trouble getting wifi, but service on my cell phone was enough for me. Patrick and Nathalie were charming and helpful hosts. We shared a wonderful evening sharing a very long apéro including wine, oysters, a special local type of roast potatoes and Pineau (local sweet wine) in the garden. We provided some of the food and wine; they did too. It was a very special night. We also had a late train back to Paris, and they allowed us to keep our bags there for the afternoon after we checked out. Things to know: The toilet, kitchen, living room, and a walled garden (which is stunning/and serves as the profile pic) are all shared spaces with the another room. For us this was not a problem because we had our own bathroom, and the bedrooms were on opposite sides of the property, so noise was never a problem. The hosts live on the same property, but the structure of the house makes it as if there are almost two separate living spaces. They even have another walled garden for themselves. It's beautiful, unique and interesting property. We were so charmed by the property and spent almost all of our evenings in the garden drinking wine and eating the fantastic local seafood. There is a BBQ in the guest garden. This was a very important feature for us. You will need to buy your own coal. The kitchen is also well equipped, but short of salt, pepper and cooking oil, you'll need to buy seasonings. Patrick and Natalie graciously offered some herbs de provence to us to season our potatoes (the local ones are very delicious) - again wonderful hosts. There is plenty of secure bike parking, but you will need to rent your own bikes. It is about a casual 10 minute walk from from the center of the village. It is about a 2 minute bike ride. The closest beach, La Plage des Follies, has a nude/gay section for those interested. It is a little bit rocky, but it is never crowded at all.

I had an absolutely lovely time in Ile de re. Pat and Nat were lovely hosts. They were there to welcome me and were able to give me lots of info on the area. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and tastefully decorated. It's just a few minutes walk to the beautiful beach and ten minutes to the lively village where I found a fab food market, shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you

We had a wonderful time on Ile de Re. The hosts were very sweet and showed us everything there is to do on the island. The accomodation was maybe a bit old, but clean. And it had a lot of memorabilia from their hollidays around the world. You have a room and bathroom for yourself but you might have to share the toilet and livingroom with another guest, like we did. The room is on a very quiet street so no noises from outside. The village was a perfect starting point to see the rest of the island because it's pretty much in the middle. And it has the best restaurant on the island 'Le Balauo', with excellent fish dishes and service. We dined twice. You really have to see the island by bike because you see much more then by car. It rained for a whole day on our visit, but we relaxed in the living room and prepared our own dinner.
