The apartment is in a great location and very secure, it is on the 3rd floor and there is a lift in the building. The apartment faces into a large courtyard garden that is ideal for relaxation and gives loads of space for kids to play. It also ensures that the apartment is quite while still in the centre of the action.
The apartment offers safe and secure accommodation for 4 adults, however the apartment is kid friendly and there is a travel cot for infants. Fresh bed linen and towels supplied.
As the property is managed by myself I am always available should you have any inquiries during your stay. As such I am always willing to accommodate you with regard to dates and prices subject to availability, get in touch and I'll do my best.
Everything for an enjoyable stay is at your doorstep, from pubs and clubs to concerts, art and culture.
There are great walks to be found in Phoenix Park (Europe's largest urban park). If you are thirsty after your long walk I can supply you with local knowledge of the finest watering holes the city has to offer!
The free Dublin bicycle scheme has been a great addition to the city and allows the freedom to explore further afield. There are several stations close at hand.
Should you have any special requests let us know and I will do my best to point you in the right direction, otherwise take your time to stroll around and enjoy all the city has to offer in the safe knowledge that you are only a stones throw from home.
Basically you have the run of the apartment, as you would do at home, however as such I ask that you respect your neighbours’ privacy, which means that noise should be kept to a minimum after 9pm. You will find that the apartments are very quite and the neighbours friendly so there should be no problems.
I live in the same apartment complex so I am always nearby should you need any help.
There are too numerous places of interest to mention, as you will find when Dubliners find a place they like they have no problem staying put and letting the world come to them!
Nevertheless here are a few of my absolute favourite things to do in the city:
•(URL HIDDEN) you will find a station right around the corner from the apartment, also check out (URL HIDDEN)
• Summertime drinking outside the “Pav.” (URL HIDDEN)
•Breakfast, Lunch And Dinner! (URL HIDDEN)
•A quite afternoon, pint and paper. (URL HIDDEN)
•On a rare book hunt. (URL HIDDEN)
•On a rare record hunt. (URL HIDDEN)
•Gym & Swim. (URL HIDDEN)
•Music and Culture, (URL HIDDEN) & (URL HIDDEN)
Finally, this is a great website for all that’s happening in Dublin, from walking tours to gigs etc. It also recommends some great apps to download for your stay: (URL HIDDEN)
Christchurch (website hidden). Patrick's Cathedral.
Chester Beatty Library.
The National Concert Hall.
The Abbey Theatre.
The Dublin Spire.
The O2 Venue.
Grand Canal Theatre.
And lots and lots of pubs.
The best way from the airport is obviously a taxi, it should cost about €25.00, tell the driver to go to 7 Lower Liffey St, Dublin 1, D01 Y621 the front door of the apartment block is beside “Butlers Chocolate Café”.
There is also a shuttle bus from the airport for €6.00 which will leave you a couple of blocks away, get off at the “O’Connell St.” stop (stop No. 8), walk straight ahead (the way the bus is going) till you reach Middle Abbey St., turn right down the street past "Supermacs" (along the tram lines) then take the next left after 150m (approx) onto Lower Liffey St., walk 20m past the "Spar" shop on the corner to "Butlers Chocolate Cafe" then you will see the front door of the apartment block between "Butlers Cafe" and "Nourish" health food store.
If you are driving and need a car park I can recommend the Arnotts Department Store car park:
It is very nearby, secure and does an excellent overnight rate of €15 / 24 hours, however it has changed its rates without warning in the past so it is best to check the website beforehand.
If you wish to hire a car on your arrival then Europcar is the closest to the apartment:
If you are arriving by train you can take the LUAS (tram system) from either “Connolly” or “Heuston” stations and get off at the “Jervis St.” stop, the apartment is then less than a 2 minute walk around the corner on Lower Liffey St.
Should you need to you can store luggage a five minute walk away at the Tourist Office Dublin:
Check in time is from 2pm on arrival and check out is 11am on the date of departure, however you can normally drop luggage from 11am under the understanding that the apartment will not be ready till 2pm (it takes at least 3hrs to properly clean and get ready), you can collect keys at this time but you must then leave to allow the housekeeper time to complete her work (while it is always Aliona who cleans the apartment, occasionally it will be her husband Johnny or myself who will meet you).
Please take note that strictly speaking there is no late check-in. Normally 8pm is the latest as I do not live Dublin and it is unfair to ask my houskeeper Aliona to work after 8pm, nevertheless she has always accommodated people checking in late, however please be aware there is an additional late check in fee of €40 payable directly to Aliona for all arrivals after 8pm.
