Casa de Cima is a traditional house, built in the 1750s, next door to the Pousada (Castle Hotel). Newly renovated and with FREE Wi-Fi, yet full of original features, it has a secluded sun terrace overlooking Obidos and the surrounding countryside.
Casa de Cima occupies one of the very best locations in Obidos. Arranged on three floors, this large house is full of interest and history, with every room having an intruiging character of its own. Occupying a commanding position next to the castle itself, this is a property which makes its guests feel special. It was previously owned by a senior Portuguese Cabinet Minister.
Guests have access to the entire house, including a large roof terrace offering both privacy and fantastic views across the town.
Interaction with guests
The owners will not be present during your stay but you will be met and shown into the house by one of our representatives. Our housekeeper, Fernanda, will drop by daily to make sure you have everything you need.
Other things to note
Obidos is a great base from which to explore the local area. There is easy access to numerous golden sandy beaches including Foz de Arelho, Obidos Lagoon, Praia de'l Rey, Sao Martinho do Porto and Peniche. Surfers will be attracted by the supertubos at Peniche or by Nazare to the North, the site of the world's largest surfed wave. Golf is available at nearby Praia d'el Rey, rated as one of the best courses in Europe, and also at Golden Eagle, Rio Maior.
1.There is no smoking within the house but smokers are welcome to use the roof terrace or to step out of the lounge onto the area at the top of the outside steps, which offers a very pleasant view over the town without having to leave other members of your group.
