Private and entire apartment is on the 2nd floor of a 200 year old brick brownstone style dwelling. There are many wonderful upgrades that mix darling old world charm with contemporary features. Window air conditioners are installed in each bedroom and the living room. The apartment is a cozy, clean, and a safe home away from home. This is a small apartment with fast commute to and from NYC in a vibrant and busy area with terrific restaurants. It is a great solution for mid sized groups looking for peace and quiet after being out all day. Hosting more than 6 is crowded and can host up to 9. The building and apartment are not new construction.
Bedroom number 1 has a queen bed and a single bed. Bedroom #2 has one queen bed. There is a sofa-bed in the common living room/kitchen area and converts to two proper single beds. The only bathroom is on the small side.
Second floor apartment in a walk-up. I host remotely and a lockbox, attached to the black iron gate outside, allows guests to freely check themselves in after 4pm and out before 9am. The online photos of the entrance and the lockbox will help with the check in process, especially after dark.
Wifi, Internet, large flat Screen TV with 30+ channels, heat, hot water, electricity, and air conditioning. Walk one block for laundry.
LAUNDRY: Carolina's Laundromat, 518 Jersey Ave, 07302.
Interaction with guests
I host remotely. There is a lockbox outside for guests to freely check themselves in after 3pm and out before 11am. I respond quickly to txt, calls, and emails. Please freely ask questions and let me know what recommendations are needed.
Other things to note
Let us know if your group plans to arrive after the 3pm check in time or earlier than the 11am checkout time.
You are arriving to PORTAL TO NYC, located very near 350 Varick Street, 07302 between Wayne and Christopher Columbus Blvd. in Jersey City.
This is ideal for peace and comfort after being out all day. Neighbors require quiet. Please consider that noise and parties are not tolerated when booking. I want your needs to fit well.
The lockbox is attached to the black iron railing at your left when facing the entrance. Familiarize yourself with the online photos to facilitate an easier checkin especially at night.
Please have a look around and let us know that everything is in good working order, otherwise, it is assumed all is well and good and a glowing review is on the way:)
You might wish to get rid of trash at some point. Deliver to the tree in front of the building. The gated area next to the stoop belong to the neighbor. Please do not add trash there.

I like to provide a welcoming environment to travelers from abroad and within. In addition to standards of clean bedding, towels, and bathroom essentials, there is an underlying theme dedicated to our global environment. There are original artworks about the environment by local artisans, an eclectic interior design, and eco friendly cleaning, recycling, and energy practices.
