Other things to note
Recently refurbished, “Church View” is a modern, surprisingly spacious and stylish house, located in the heart of the historic market town of Alnwick, it is ideally placed to explore the Northumbrian coastline or countryside. Alnwick is a gem of the North, "It’s definitely got that magical charm that’s hard to resist—think eclectic bookshops, cosy pubs with crackling fires down little alleys, and a calendar full of local events."
“Church View” sits back from the hustle and bustle of the town centre and has the benefit of a large private parking space to the front of the property, yet there is a wide selection of amenities all within a gentle stroll. There is an array of independent shops and a variety of pubs available within walking distance. Golf is also available less than a mile away. Close by is Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland (and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts to name just one example!) and the grounds of Alnwick Gardens, a spectacular interpretation of a formal garden, which includes a grand cascade waterfall and poison garden, as well as a fabulous restaurant set in the largest tree house in Europe! A visit to the tranquil Barter Books, the second hand bookshop in the former station building which has open fires, an interactive mural, model railway and café is highly recommended.
Head west towards the picturesque small town of Rothbury which nestles at the foot of the heather capped Cheviot Hills. Or travel east towards the coastline and explore the stunning 20-mile stretch of Heritage coastline designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. All this makes Church View a great choice for families and friends alike. Beach 3¾ miles. Shops, pubs and restaurants 300 yards.
