Fabio was very responsive before we actually arrived at his property, promptly responding to messages and even calling me when we had issues hiring a car. He booked a taxi from the airport for us, as well as booking a local restaurant for our first night as we did not arrive until the evening and advised us on some nice restaurants to visit. Francesco welcomed us in to the house and took the time to show us where the pool, beach etc were which was very helpful as we got there quite late in the evening. The house itself is lovely and was very clean with lots of new fittings in the bathrooms and kitchen. All towels (bathroom and beach) are supplied as well as bedlinen. There is a small additional charge if you wish to have the bedlinen changed during your stay but as there is a washing machine we did this ourselves. The main bedroom is large and has an ensuite toilet and sink which was great. The downstairs bedroom is smaller and the sofa bed once pulled out to a double fills the room completely, but as our children are 9 and 12 it was fine for them. The living/kitchen space is compact but has all the equipment you could need (no oven/grill but there is a microwave with a grill function)and Francesco had bought us some essentials (bread, milk, coffee, sugar, water etc) for breakfast the next morning which was very kind. The outside space is lovely for eating (dining table that seats 6) and relaxing (2 very comfy brand new sunbeds!) and the outdoor shower was just perfect. The house itself is on a quiet complex that has a lovely shared pool (open from 9-1 then 4-7) and attended by a lifeguard. It has plenty of sunloungers and chairs and was very well looked after. There are some lovely walks along the coast in both directions to different beaches. There is a small beach 2 minutes from the house but it is not sandy or particularly good for swimming but the next closest beach is only 10-15 minutes walk and has lovely white sand and a great restaurant too. The water was crystal clear with fantastic snorkelling and diving off the rocks. There is a small supermarket about 15-20 minutes walk along the main road (but it is pretty expensive with not much of a selection of items) but there are larger ones in Villasimius itself (which is about a 35-40 minute walk away). We would advise hiring a car as there are no shopping facilities on site and only one small restaurant. We would definitely recommend staying here and Fabio was very helpful with all our requests before and during our stay which helped make it a wonderful and memorable 2 weeks. It is a beautiful area and we would love to return one day. Thank you Fabio.
