Guys Farm provides a luxury getaway set in the peaceful Cambridgeshire countryside -take advantage of the space inside and out (usually sleeps 12)

Five individually-styled bedrooms, NOW available for up to 6 guests (in line with government guidance) It has a large kitchen-diner, three bathrooms, two reception rooms and a utility room.

We provide a large hot tub, games and a large TV and DVD player for all our guests to enjoy. The local village offers a range of pubs, eateries and a shop.

The space
There is a large hot tub on the patio, a fire pit for BBQs and patio furniture. We are dog friendly and have a large untility room in which they can sleep.

Unfortunately beng an old house, our doors are not wide enough (legally) to register as having disabled access, however there is one downstairs bedroom and a downstairs shower room.

There is a travel cot and high chair at the house as well as toys for our younger guests.

There is a field adjacent to the house which is available for outdoor games (some equipment supplied) or camping.

Dogs are welcome.

Guest access
The village of Manea is a mile away - there are several takeaways, restaurants and a village pub. There is also an excellent shop with post office.

Cambridge, Ely and Peterbourough can be accessed by train from the village.

For larger supermarkets the towns of Chatteris, March and Wisbech are nearby.

There is lots to do in the local area, including a visit the swans at Welney Wetland Trust, Sandringham Estate or the seaside (an hour away) . Details of things to do can be found at the house and on our website.

Cleaning Protocol (in line with advice issued by Air b and b)
We shall be following these cleaning guidelines:
1. Wear protective gear while cleaning - disposable gloves, aprons, and facial coverings (like homemade or purchased masks). (Make sure to wash your hands immediately after removing gloves.)
2. Ventilate rooms before you clean. The Centre for Disease Control (CDC) recommends opening outside doors and windows to increase air circulation in the space before beginning to clean and disinfect.
3. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after each cleaning. Use soap and water, and wash for at least 20 seconds.
4. Clean, then disinfect. Use detergent or soap and water to remove dirt, grease, dust, and germs. Once the surface is clean, spray with a disinfectant. Let it stand for a few minutes, then wipe.
5. Use the right disinfectant. Most common household disinfectants registered by the Environmental Protection Agency, as well as cleaning solutions with diluted household bleach or at least 70% alcohol, are believed to be effective against the coronavirus. Pay special attention to frequently touched surfaces, like light switches, doorknobs, remote controls, and faucet handles.
6. Don’t forget about sofas, rugs, drapes, and other soft, porous surfaces. Carefully remove any visible dirt or grime, then clean with the appropriate cleaners indicated for use on these surfaces. If possible, machine-wash items according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
7. Wash all linens at the highest heat setting recommended by the manufacturer. That includes bed sheets, mattress covers, hand and bath towels, kitchen towels, and blankets. Remember to wear gloves when handling dirty laundry, and take care to avoid shaking laundry, which could increase the spread of germs.
9. Empty the vacuum cleaner after every cleaning. You should wipe down the vacuum cleaner with disinfectant, along with appliances like your dishwasher and washing machine.
10. Line trash cans. Placing bags into trash bins will make it easier to dispose of tissues and other waste.
11. Dispose of or wash your cleaning supplies. If you’re using paper towels, disinfectant wipes, and other disposable cleaning supplies, take the trash out after you’re done. If you’re using cleaning cloths and other reusable products, make sure to machine-wash them at the highest heat setting appropriate for the material.
12. Safely remove any cleaning gear. When you’re done cleaning, immediately remove any protective outerwear like gowns, gloves, or masks, and dispose of them or wash accordingly. Remember to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds afterwards.

Guys Farm was our family home when the children were growing up (actually been in my husband's family since it was built in 1912) . We now live in the village where we both work - me in the local shop/post office and Chris as a house builder. We have lived and worked abroad - in China and Russia and love to travel - most usually staying in Airbnbs!! We are fairly new to hosting but love it so far!
