I Escape to rural relaxation, tranquility and boutique-style comfort at Dairy Cottage Studio. Situated on the Cotswold Way, well off the main road and surrounded by fields, woodland and walks yet only 5 minutes drive from M4 junction 18 and 30 minutes from Bristol, Bath and Cirencester. At this little hideaway you can be completely self contained with a mini kitchen (microwave only) and outside courtyard. There are plenty of good places to eat in the area.

The space
Dairy Cottage Studio adjoins our property but is entirely self contained and has a separate front door and hallway leading to the bedroom with French door out onto a small terrace where you can enjoy breakfast on warm days. The bedroom is beamed and airy with a comfy king size bed has 100% linen bedding and plenty of pillows. There is a small area with Nespresso machine, kettle, toaster, (cups, plates, cutlery and wine glasses provided) microwave, a mini fridge (silent!) A loaf of artisan bread from our own Hobbs House bakery (home to the Fabulous Baker Brothers) is provided. We happily cater for vegetarians/vegans by arrangement. There is a large Freesat TV and fast WiFi. The luxury bathroom with an enormous walk in shower has underfloor heating. Our adjacent field has the most amazing view looking across the Severn valley to Wales and is a wonderful place to sit and contemplate. The studio is 1/4 mile from the main road.

Guest access
Access is via a key pad. The studio adjoins our house but the bedroom and bathroom are entirely self contained. There is easy access off road parking for 2 cars and electric charging point available payable during stay.

Neighbourhood highlights

Dairy Cottage is in a beautiful and peaceful Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty right on the Cotswold escarpment and just next to an ancient Iron Age hill fort. Down the hill is historic Little Sodbury Manor once home to William Tyndale. The countryside is rolling with woods and open fields and the Badminton estate is close by. Yet within half an hour’s drive are the lights and sights and culture of historic Bristol and Bath , Bath Christmas Market, each with excellent shopping , sight-seeing and night life and endless wonderful places to eat. Gloucester and Cheltenham are a little further. The National Arboretum at Westonbirt and Dyrham House, the National Trust property are within 15 minutes drive. Our local Market town of Chipping Sodbury has traditional butchers, greengrocers and is home to our Hobbs House bakery, and some wonderful coffee shops and Waitrose. There is cycle hire and a fabulous cafe from Wild Carrot at Chavenage just a few miles along the road from us. There are cinema and sports facilities at Yate, and nearby Nailsworth, Tetbury, Cirencester and Stroud are all highly individual and worth exploring. Numerous villages are within easy driving distance including the picturesque Castle Combe, and there are dozens of wonderful pubs for eating in the evening. We are happy to suggest and inspire.
