We were in Mortagne-au-Perche to visit the annual Bordin Noir event. Josiane & Philippe were very friendly and accommodating enabling me to do some judging and get close to the inner sanctum of the Bordin Noir event. The house was spacious, clean and had everything required, great wifi and well equipped kitchen. The food market on a Saturday was excellent and prices were very good. You are better off buying food from the excellent local food shops and cooking yourself as good restaurants are hard to find. The house was warm, well located and good value for 2 or more rooms.

We really enjoyed our stay in Josiane and Philippe's place - the rooms are generously sized and thoughtfully designed and the location is right in the heart of Mortagne, near everything you could want (shops, market, restaurants).

We (four adults plus three month old) had a great few days staying in Mortagne while attending a friend's wedding nearby. The house was lovely and well equipped and, as others have mentioned, the boulangerie across the road was excellent! The town itself was very nice, and very quiet, and the local area is very picturesque. A lovely stay all round!

Everything was very smooth about the booking, even with the language barrier and my failure to notice the time difference. The village was lovely, although very quiet - sleepy in fact! Just what we wanted! There is a superb bakery on the corner of the street, a small supermarket just round the corner and a large one on the edge of town. The house is nice and well decorated, with a really French feeling about it. The terrace was lovely to sit out on and the kitchen and living room had everything you could need (except a corkscrew, but I had one with me...). All in all, I was extremely impressed with the property. Phillippe and Josiane showed us round and left us to it with a complimentary bottle of Cider... Very welcome after the drive from Scotland.

This super cute appartment is situated right in the heart of Mortagne au perche. The house is exactly as described and the owner is very kind and helpful. We could not have made a better choice for our stay in this lovely village in Normandy. Thank you Josiane & Philippe :)))

Our French-American family spent a week in this older home in Mortagne. The house is perfectly located in this typical small town in the Perche area of Normandy and offers its visitors the opportunity of a "local" experience: crossing the street to the corner bakery for a warm croissant in the morning for breakfast, attending the animated Saturday market on the nearby Place de l'Eglise, the day punctuated by the ringing of the church bell. The house is old but comfortable. It was kept warm in already chilly weather. The bathrooms have been renovated and provided a reliable supply of hot water. A small office offered an unexpected retreat to the one guest who had to work. Josiane welcomed us warmly, and her proximity and availability quickly resolved small problems such as getting locked out! We now think of this house as our pied-a-terre in the Perche.
