The space
As featured in the Sunday Times on Sunday 19th June 2022 and the Mail on Sunday on 30th April 2023 - the Vine House is listed as one of the top 7 UK vineyard stays. Patio doors open from the lounge onto the terrace from which there are stunning views across the lawn to the vines and vineyard and fields beyond. The location is totally tranquil and the vineyard which is accredited with WineGB under their SWGB scheme as sustainable is home to a vast array of birds, butterflies and other wildlife which are able to thrive in this unique undisturbed conservation area.
This is a child and pet Friendly property which is also accessible. We welcome you and your well behaved pets (we charge £20 per pet for each part of a weeks stay, ie 1 week = £20 and 2 weeks = £40). This is to cover additional cleaning costs. Please note that there is no secure fencing around the Vine House which has a garden which opens directly onto the vineyard. A chilled bottle of our wine will be left to welcome you on your arrival, and further wine can be ordered for your stay. Details of wines and prices can be found on the Chet Valley Vineyard website. You may also book a wine tasting and tour directly with the owners in advance of your stay by contacting Chet Valley vineyard directly. John the owner and wine maker is passionate about making wines and would love to show you round his vineyard and share his wine with you on a tour. The Vine House is a great destination to get away from it all and relax overlooking the vineyard. We have good WiFi facilities so if you need to work whilst away there is excellent connectivity. The Vine House has many accessible features including a walk in shower/wet room rather than a bathroom, there is no bath in the bathroom (which is as pictured in the photographs and shown on the floor plan). Check out our accessibility statement which can be found on our vineyard website.
The property is heated by an air source heat pump which heats the water and powers the underfloor heating. There is a wood burning stove in addition in the lounge.
You can hire a hot tub to be delivered for your use during your stay. Please contact hosts John and Bridget who will help you make the arrangements. There will be an additional charge for the hot tub hire (arranged directly with the company) and increased power usage (charged by the vineyard and winery).
