A lovely double room with TV, WIFI, mini fridge and a spacious WC/shower room. Situated on the ground floor of a 17th century cottage directly opposite Jane Austen's House and next door to The Greyfriar pub and our café Cassandra's Cup where breakfast is available.
Chawton is one of the prettiest villages in Hampshire. From the B&B there is access to many country walks. It is also within easy access of several other historic villages and towns such as Selborne (Gilbert White's museum), Alton (The Watercress Line), Alresford and Winchester.
Breakfast is available in the tea rooms next door. Cassandra's Cup tea shop is renowned for it's quintessential charm and afternoon teas and also serves delicious light snacks and hot meals throughout the day. Check in by collecting keys from Cassandra's Cup between 12-5. Check out before 11am.
Interaction with guests
The owners of Cassandra's Cottage B&B live just a stone's throw away and are always happy to be of assistance! Their idyllic 16th century thatched cottage is amongst one of the prettiest and most photographed houses in the area - and the door is always open for a browse round the garden or a chat!! As long as you don't mind some very happy dogs!
Please enquire about evening meals cooked by the owners and delivered to you. The fridge can be stocked with drinks in advance of your arrival if requested.
