The space
Hut Therapy is designed with the intention of providing balance and respite from the hurly burly of modern life and greater connection with ourselves and nature. Situated in the corner of a mature garden, 20 metres from the main house, the hut has a double cabin bed, en-suite wc/shower room and small sitting/kitchen area. One small child can be accommodated on a futon mattress: this rolls out on to the wood floor and stows away under the cabin bed during the day. There is a fridge, facilities for making hot drinks (including complementary herbal teas, grain coffee, grain or soya milk, natural sweetener) as well as everything you need to prepare a cold meal - chopping board, plates, cups, cutlery etc, an electric kettle & toaster. The hut comes equipped with a washing machine and rotary dryer in the garden. There is no cooking stove, hob or microwave (not in keeping with our macrobiotic ethos of slow, mindful eating). Breakfast and other meals are served in the Hut, garden or, after May 17th (earliest, due to Covid regulations) in the owner’s house.

Where you’ll be

East Chiltington, Lewes, United Kingdom

East Chiltington is a small rural hamlet of less than 200 households situated in the South Downs National Park - an area of outstanding natural beauty. A network of footpaths leading to the Downs and the South Downs Way (National Trail) are at the door. Although we are not far from London & Brighton, East Chiltington is a farming community; people choose to come here to get away from urban life & the mainstream. We are situated a mile from a B road.
