Bloor West offers restaurants with food from all over the world, all within a 5 minute walk from our home. Great for families and travelers looking to stay downtown and to avoid traffic.

If you walk east from the house, a 10 minute walk will take you to the West entrance of the beloved High Park, the largest park (I should say forest) in the city. There you will find all kinds of wildlife, ducks, geese, swans, chipmunks, as well as a free zoo that is open to everyone everyday that includes deer, bison, peacocks, capybaras, woodland goats, yaks, and much more. Excellent location for travelers. In the middle of High Park is the Grenadier Restaurant, with fantastic food, and a great spot to take a break. High Park also offers a public pool, and if you walk south it also has access to the Lakeshore.

There is a large park (Rennie Park) in the immediate vicinity, (About 100ft away), which includes a wide range of grass and trees, children's playground, tennis courts, and ice rink in the winter. Directly beside it is a large open field for soccer and baseball. Directly behind it is a ravine forest path that takes you to the lake shore. The Lakeshore is about 20 minute walk, or few minute drive, and has parking available. Highly recommended.

Bloor West Village, 5 minute walk north, consists of a wide variety of restaurants, spanning with foods from all around the globe, within walking distance of the home. There are a handful of great pubs, shopping boutiques, a grocery store, and more.
